Sky definitely seemed to have changed their tactics.  Did sky chat to try and get a better deal. From January I was going to be paying £64 (sport £26, cinema £10, hd £6, signature £20, sport hd £2.
best they could offer was £15 for tv essentials 😬, so I could still use my sky a box.
i have actually gone through and given my notice to cancel and am now panicking as I’ve never got this far before. 😱
hmmm… I was obviously out of contract for sky movies as that bits  already been switched off 😱.  Can’t see any change to this months bill though to reflect the fact it’s gone?
You should still get 31 days of cinema after cancellation accepted - they don't/shouldn't switch it off early !
Just checked, and movies is back! No idea why it said I had to upgrade yesterday.

2 weeks after giving notice, offered
    Signature £19
    HD £4
    UHD £2
    Sports £16
    Multiscreen £7
    Total £48

Would usually probably accept that, but I'm looking for closer to £40. Happy for it to go  if not.
I’d be happy with that. Did they contact you with that offer?

Quick update. Three days after notice to cancel we’ve been emailed an offer of signature, movies and sports for £41 and hd and uhd for another £6, so £47, which is less than we were paying before, and a lot less than what we were going up to in January.
  • When (if they do) do sky fix prices for next year? Contract is up end of Jan but I’d likely be hit with 2 price rises so would rather delay to avoid this but don’t know when I can delay to

The price increase will be from April and I think they announce how much it will be around a month before.
  • Thanks. So it’s unlikely that I can avoid 2 increases. Annoying

Unless you can negotiate a price freeze on the new contract.

I came out of contract in July and been paying £96 for:
    Signature
    Sports HD
    Superfast BB

Used chat to try to renegotiate same package, best offer was £73 for the same.  I declined and asked to cancel hoping for an improved offer but they sent me the cancellation details, services end 6th January.  Wondering now if i did the right thing lol.
