Bigwigg said:Well I rang up today as I am now out of contract - asked what there best deals were and the man actually tried to quite me prices that were higher than the prices I am already on out of contract! I pointed it out to him and then the prices then came down, not not significantly , I was offered:
sky signature - £20.30
TV add on - £6
Sky sports with HD 25
cinema - £12
Sky HD - £8
multiscreen - £15
sky super fast broadband- £30.50
these all seem really high compared to what others on this thread have been offered, if I ring back and speak to someone else is there a chance of getting different prices? Or through the live chat ? Or do I need to threaten to leave to get better prices?0 -
Not a haggle success post - but is it possible to get the page below updated as it says "You can contact Sky on 0333 7591 018 or via its online chat service"... and it takes you to a page that doesn't have chat...
to my knowledge there is no 'chat' function... happy to be told different!

Our Sky services ended in December and no good offers were forthcoming until now.
Last week had an offer of Signature and Sky Sports for £28 per month plus a £50 bill credit and no admin fee. Also offered free install of Sky Q but having read the reviews I’m not sure I want to bother😧
Anyway very happy with the deal,0 -
x.sophie.x said:I’m at the end of my last sky contract where I was paying £59.50 for sky TV - inc. sports, movies, multi room and Netflix… so I was happy with our deal. My bill (now out of contract) is going up to £107 per month for the same services.I rang up 2 weeks ago and the best they could do was £71. As that’s still a £11.50 per month increase, I wasn’t happy (£138 increase per year). I said I’d think and call back.I called back today, and the best they could offer was £79 per month. It actually increased by a further £8!! (£234 a year increase). I don’t know what sky are playing at. People are entering one of the biggest crunches on disposable income, and are still hiking up prices by astronomical amounts.I’ve put in my cancellation, I just cannot justify that amount on tv.Oh, just to note.. the operator couldn’t match the previous quote either. Prices quotes apparently are only valid per call now. They cannot retrospectively apply the quote.
Update to my previous post. I got an offer in the post today. £37 per month for sky signature, cinema and sports. Additional £5 for Netflix, £10 for multi room, £4 HD or £5 UHD. I have now signed up for another 18 months.0 -
Contract ends at the end of the month. Currently paying £86.75 for Signature, Ultimate, Kids, Sports, Cinema, HD, Multi and Superfast broadband.
Phoned twice and they dropped the broadband down to £20. But the TV went from £58.75 to £84 for a total cost of £104.
If I stayed out of contract the TV would have been £83.50, so cheaper than their best offer.
No option but to cancel.

Had email from Sky saying my deal was coming to end and that I could continue to save, and need do nothing... then it listed all the savings... not a word about current cost difference... just savings off their full inflated prices. Bit dodgy!
I logged into account and see costs going up for Broadand+TV+Phone from £61 to £100.50 inclusive of these 'super new savings of £21/mth' !
Rang them to cancel, as I can get superfast Broadband+Phone for £23 and a buy a Freesat box ... Very nice guy at their end... but hands tied, cannot do much... waiting on new deals, etc.... cannot compete with Black-Briday deal I originally... best is £81/mth so still like a 25% increase. I said to go ahead with cancellation.
Will give them a day or so, if no decent offer then I'm off.
