    Hi All,

Currently trying to contact sky via Facebook messenger to cancel my tv package and fibre due to my existing offer expiring.

They are telling me that I can only reach the retentions team at the moment by calling 03442 414141.

Previously I have used Facebook messenger and live chat before that.

How have other people been contacting the retentions team recently???

    Thanks I’m advance.
UPDATE - after Sky telling me porkies, appears u can access Facebook messenger from the MySky App.

    another reason to leave….

For reference this is the deal I declined. Superfast broadband was offered at £30.50 a month.

    Sky Signature at £17 a month (that's a £15 discount with an 18-month contract)
Sky Ultimate TV (Netflix) at £6 a month
    HD at £4 (that's a £4 discount)
    UHD at £2 (that's a £2 Discount)
    Complete Sports at £19 (that's a £13 discount with an 18-month contract)
    Sky Multiscreen at £15

This brings your total to £63 a month

Offers will start today and a one-off admin fee of £20 will be added to your next bill.

With my deal coming to an end next month I got in touch with Sky yesterday and they couldn't offer me anything I wanted I have cancelled (they'll keep my broadband and phone line active until I transfer over to a new provider).

Does anyone know how long after you've put the cancellation in that you're likely to hear from Sky with a better offer?

It varies. I’ve been phoned by the Win Back team within a few days. I recently cancelled my Dad’s TV package. It was about 2/3 weeks later that he received a better offer by post.

My TV bill for Signature, Netflix, HD, and 4k was due to go up to £63 next month. The offers phone line could only discount it to £54 to reflect 23 years' VIP status. The cancellations team brought it down to £43 but I'm still cancelling. We watch very little Sky-specific content so we're really paying for the convenience of having Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon on the same Sky Q box as Sky and free TV recordings. We already have an Apple TV box, Amazon Firestick, and apps built into TVs. I'll get a Freesat or Freeview PVR for recordings, and if we need Sky shows we can dip in and out of NOW for £9.99/m. Netflix billing goes back to paying them direct - HD £10.99, or 4K £15.99/m. I might think about Sky again when the standalone Sky Glass 'puck' launches later in the year if the price is competitive.

I was on mysky today and i noticed a window/panel in my account about my contract ending soon and to check what my options are or something like that.
I clicked on where it showed review my options but the web page kept going back to where i started from and at bottom left of the page i saw sky.com and then login in but it was going in a loop and nothing appeared.

I tried another bowser and that was the same.

I have 6 weeks left on min term.

Is this just a glitch for me or has this happened to any other sky customers?

ok so mine is due to go up to £61 next month currently paying £39 for sky box sets  , hd and multi room, been offered

    £39
    Signature
    Multiroom
    HD
    Netfilx

£39 a month , 18 month contracts, includes the new increase

i don’t need netflix so unsure if it can be taken off at a later date ?

  • No luck here.

We still have a Sky HD box (old). As we need a box with SCART.
    Sky TV

    £31.00

Discounted by £5.00 for 18 months
    -£5.00

Discounted by £7.00 for 18 months
    -£7.00

    £19.00

Sky agreed to £19 p/m in January 2022 for 18month contract. However from April 2020 it is going up to £20 p/m.

My partner only needs a subjet of the basic Sky package.

I don't know how Sky could justify charging £31p/m when they are offering new customers £26 for Sky and Netflix.

It makes me aggrieved as, as my partner was paying the higher amount for a few months. No refund was offered.

We are saving Sky a lot of money by still using the old Sky box. They did n't take this into account.
