So just put forward my cancellation, only this time I really will be cancelling as I don't really use Sky Q and their broadband has been poor for me (likely an Openreach issue).
I'll post the retention deals they offer here, so far they've offered;
Sky Signature + Cinema
63MB Superfast
£53/mo
Politely declined, cancellation pending. Will post any updates here.

x.sophie.x said:I’m at the end of my last sky contract where I was paying £59.50 for sky TV - inc. sports, movies, multi room and Netflix… so I was happy with our deal. My bill (now out of contract) is going up to £107 per month for the same services.I rang up 2 weeks ago and the best they could do was £71. As that’s still a £11.50 per month increase, I wasn’t happy (£138 increase per year). I said I’d think and call back.I called back today, and the best they could offer was £79 per month. It actually increased by a further £8!! (£234 a year increase). I don’t know what sky are playing at. People are entering one of the biggest crunches on disposable income, and are still hiking up prices by astronomical amounts.I’ve put in my cancellation, I just cannot justify that amount on tv.Oh, just to note.. the operator couldn’t match the previous quote either. Prices quotes apparently are only valid per call now. They cannot retrospectively apply the quote.
Left for BT after 18 years with Sky, with now tv at the half price offer for 3 months. Box for recording is excellent and do not miss sky at all.
After 3 months i now get multiple mail offers of 24 a month inc hd. Too late , would not go back to sky now or in the future.
I wonder if the executives at sky realise there is a household income increase with utilities ?

I have my Freeview box arriving today. After set up, I will cancel Sky. I wonder if more people will start cancelling subscriptions due to other cost of living rises?
EDIT:-
Wondering if I should take this as some sort of sign and I will be staying with Sky after all? Amazon have failed to deliver the box on Monday, no update today yet, other than to say if it does not arrive today, then tomorrow I can ask for a refund. I personally have found Amazon mostly good, so bit annoyed that with this Freeview box order I am having a problemPaddle No 21:wave:0 -
I have no doubt, this is probably why Sky not offering any decent discounts because so many people leaving and it's the stayers that are having to pay for it all.0

Well I rang up today as I am now out of contract - asked what there best deals were and the man actually tried to quite me prices that were higher than the prices I am already on out of contract! I pointed it out to him and then the prices then came down, not not significantly , I was offered:
sky signature - £20.30
TV add on - £6
Sky sports with HD 25
cinema - £12
Sky HD - £8
multiscreen - £15
sky super fast broadband- £30.50
these all seem really high compared to what others on this thread have been offered, if I ring back and speak to someone else is there a chance of getting different prices? Or through the live chat ? Or do I need to threaten to leave to get better prices?0 -
I'm coming to the end of my first 18 month contract with Sky. I was offered this on my last call:
Sky Signature + Sky Sports + HD + Netflix + Ultra for £60. If I add Superfast broadband the offer was £78, or £80 for Ultrafast broadband. I don't need ultrafast, and the superfast offer is over 10% more than I'm currently paying. A 10% rise is a bit steep for me. I don't actually need any of this, it was just nice to have during the Covid lockdowns. While I'd probably be content to pay the same price as I'm currently paying, I know I could go back to using NowTV for the bits and pieces I'm interested in.
I've tried and failed to find the Live Chat function on Sky. Is it still available? I've had a couple of lengthy phone calls (one to the cancellation team) and think I just want to cancel now. Live Chat might be a quicker way to do that than have to phone and discuss my usage and needs again.
