  • Initially called Sky for the Sky Signature + HD package where they wouldn't budge beyond £21 for the package and £3 for HD making £24 total monthly cost. Went ahead with the cancellation.

Spoke to an advisor via chat today and got the deal down to £16 for the Sky Signature package and £3 for HD, making it a total of £19. They didn't forfeit the £10 admin charge but I still accepted the offer.

We currently have Sky Broadband £19 pm, and Sky Signature & Sky Sports at £40 pm.  Our 18 month contract ends in March and we received notification that the BB would increase to £33 pm from March  and the TV package to £63 from April.

I called Sky and was put through to the Cancellation Team.  I explained that we just couldn’t afford any increase from the current overall £59 pm and would reluctantly have to cancel altogether.  I spoke to a very helpful lady who went to investigate how she could bring the cost down for us.  She came back with an offer to increase to £62 pm overall.

The breakdown is Sky Signature £21 instead of £31
Sky Sports £20 instead of £32
Sky BB £21 instead of £33

She also waived the £20 admin fee and sent us a £13 Sky Voucher to watch a film.

I am very pleased with the outcome.

Great news - had the call back this morning (08007613362) and managed to agree £51pm.

So, to confirm, I have an existing Sky Q 2TB and mini box. I was previously on £61pm - and my package is now:

Sky Signature & Ultimate TV Add On(was £31) now £25
    Sky Sports and Sky Cinema
    (was £41) now £17
    HD and Ultra HD
    (was £6 + £4)  now £1 + £2
    Sky Multiscreen
    (was £14) now £6
Total: (was £96) now £51 for 18 months

March 2022 seems so far away...

    Thanks again everyone!

Hi all - March 2022 has come by quicker than expected. I managed to get a few £ off when the prices rose last year so my starting point is £48.50... Put the cancellation in yesterday as initial offer was £68.50.

Current bill looks like this with a SKy Q 2TB + Sky Q Mini:

Let's see what happens over the next few weeks..!

Ended up going around the houses but if you do get the right SKY employee who will ring around departments to get you all the offers rather than just the ones on their screen then it does pay off ;)

    signature - £11
    sports - £4
    ultra hd - £5
    Cinema - £9
    Kids - £1
    sports hd - £2
    Sky hd - £3
    ultra hd- free
    multiscreen - £8
    Ultrafast bb & talk - £29

So £43 for SKY and £29 for ultrafast broadband makes £72 in total.

Also found out that it is actually easier for them to access more (and better) deals whilst you are still in contract as actually becoming a new customer restricts their options.  Main point is that you need the right member of the retentions department who will put in the time and effort to ring around their bosses to get every deal.

WOW. How are you managing those kinds of prices?! This is the best they said they could do for me:

Signature TV - £21 (usually £31) New 18 month min term
    HD - £3 (usually £7)
    Sky Boxsets FREE (usually £5)
    Kids - £4 (usually £5)
    Cinema - £8 (usually £19) (that's £11 off in an 18-month contract)
Sky Go Extra FREE (usually £5)

This brings the total to £38 per month.

Was on Sky Signature for 16 pounds a month and contract ending in Feb. Got email that I can keep all discounts without contract but the price went up to 21 per month - turns out 'In Contract' discount was not being applied. Called up to cancel and the best offered by retention was 24 per month which I was senseless considering 21 without contract. Cancelllation requested couple of days back - got an email to keep same signature package for 16. Happily accepted new 18m contract at 16 a month.
Similar here, on £20 per month for sky signature and hd but when I look at the future bills its showing £25. Went to messenger, was offered finally £19 per month for 18 months but they added £20 as admin fees. Going to be be adamant this time to not to pay the admin fees. My contract is ending on 14th march so will call again on 14th feb and try one last time if they agree
`just to update, finally got it to £19 and they waived the £10 admin fees. Pretty happy as generally sky quality and service is very good and £1 less than what i was paying now so satsified with it.

You have put "ultra hd - £5" and then further down ultra hd free, can I presume your £5 was for Ultimate TV (Netflix)? When did you sign this deal please? And with your broadband, is the talk package payg?
Hi sorry should have been ultimate tv add on for £5 as you rightly say.

    Broadband and Talk
    SKY WiFi - Free
SKY Talk Internet Calls - Free
SKY Pay as you Talk - Free
    SKY Broadband Ultrafast 1 - £29
Thanks, whilst I am not a broadband customer, will try to aim for prices closer to yours. Hopefully can get a good employee.

When did you agree your deal?
    Wednesday this week, good luck
Did you get this offer on Live Chat, did you call them, or did they call you, please? Have tried a few people but they're insistent that these offers do not exist and there are no other departments they can talk to

    Thank you
