Can’t get anywhere near the offers people are getting, currently due to be switched off on the 2nd August. Had zero messages off them and no emails despite them being turned on under preferences. Never cancelled before and been with them 10years so perhaps they are calling my bluff?

They were holding firm at £66pm for everything minus BT Sport, phone and broadband.

Live chat this morning was like pulling teeth, kept telling me how great the service is despite it actually being incredibly unreliable and not even working at all this morning. She eventually took it down to £63pm after “pulling some strings”.

Looks as though il have to go through with the cancellation
They play hardball now so you have to be prepared to cancel and wait. The longer you've been with them, the more of a soft touch they will see you as because they think you're so used to it you'll fold and take their first offer. It's bad but that's how it works now.

Now a very interesting set of negotiations for me this time around.   I put in my notice to quit early July.  I then called them up around a week ago and negotiated a reasonable deal that was much in line with what I was exiting.
However I then received a letter from Retentions which detailed Signature/Sports/Movies all together at a fraction less than half price £34 instead of £69
Now armed with this as overall I had worked out this was maybe £5 a month lower so I called up.  I had to upload the letter so they could view it.  i was told that because i had recontracted it was not physically possible to put the new offer on.
However as I am in the cooling off period I told them I would revert to my original cancelation and take my chances of the letter becoming valid again.
This then got me through to retentions who again were unable to input the offer but were also not wanting me to reinstate my cancel.
To get around the issue they simply added another "large" discount of £19 to my less discounted sports.  This in effect then gave me the headline offer.  The even better news was then they left all my other offers not revolving around signature/sports/movies.  Some of those were better than detailed in the winback letter.
A real mouthful I know but here is what I am paying now.  £43 for the works with 1 multiroom.  So went from £62 to £43 when the likely best via retentions letter would have been circa £55 a Result.

Placed my cancellation at the start of this month, and waited for Sky to chase me.
Got a letter in the post last week offering Signature, Sports & Cinema for £37, but had decided to swap to Netflix instead.
Got a call from Winback team today and agreed the following on a 18 month contract,

    Sky signature at     £16
    Sports HD              £14
    Ultimate TV (Netflix) £5
    HD                            £4

making a total of £39 per month with the £10 admin fee offset with a credit.

I might have been able to shave another £1 off HD, but was satisfied to renew at under £40 (at least until the next round of Sky price increases...)

Done well there - £4pm less than I achieved altho' I didn't actually get to cancellation. Interesting that the admin charge was £10 -wanted to charge me £20 but got that offset. The amount for the charge seems to be random!

    with sky and superfast broadband

    Hi
How did you get this deal?
was it customer services via a promotion or discounted prices  i.e. from retention?
i used your figures to renegotiate talking to retention, and they said you must have got them all via promotion from customer services. retention said i need a promo code to get the deals.
hitting a brick wall with my negotiations; they say ive got the best deal possible.

As per above, where i have asked someone specifically how they got their deal, my new contract is below.
Looking at other posts on here i felt i wasnt getting the best deal, so i spoke to retentiosn online and they are adamant they cant give me better.
Any advice on that statement from Sky and how i can get better appreciated!

Been with Sky for 17 years, (much longer actually on and off) and requested a deal... was offered:

    Signature...19
    HD...3
    Sports...19
    Movies...8
    Multi-room...13
    TOTAL £62

Declined this, and I've heard nothing since. No emails, texts, phone calls, nothing on interactive.... tried an internet chat today and asked again, same offer... staying in the notice period and see how this plays out!

Many many years ago I actually let the account lapse, and left for about 3 months. After a few 50% off postal deals, I was offered 75% for 18 months and re-joined! Not expecting a repeat of that though! Happy to hold out for a 50% though!
