I have been a sky customer for 14 years and my contract is due for renewal next month. Armed with all the information on this thread i believe I'm in a good position to haggle for a great deal. However, I would like to know at which pioint of the cancelation dance would i lose my 14 year loyalty.
It sounds like the best deals come from when you ask to cancel and the winback team offers you a deal to come back. If this is within the 31 day cancellation period, do I still keep my loyalty period or would it reset?
I was previously on the Black level until a few years' ago. Now I'm on Silver. Not that it really matters. I've never thought much of Sky's loyalty programme but YMMV.She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?0 -

I called today, my contract will expire in few months time.
My confusion is, when I go to 'Sky TV' only Sky Ultimate TV shows up (includes Netflix). It doesn't mention Sky Signature. The guy said this is the cheapest TV deal. Does this include Netflix or not?
Why don't Sky advertise all their packages with their prices?
Sorry, If I have misunderstood.
Sky Signature is a new name for the basic package which is the new name for what was Sky Entertainment0 -
If this helps anyone, this was the deal i managed to negotiate in my 30 day window, after cancellation. I never lost my sky VIP status either.Sky Signature £17.00Ultimate TV Add on £4.00Sky Sports - Complete £10.00Sky Sports HD £2.00Sky HD £2.00Ultra HD £2.00Total £37.00Note: Because I opted for the Ultra HD option, it also gave me Netflix Premium which not only means UHD but also means you can stream on up to 4 devices at the same time.0

The best I can do for Signature is £19 a month- does everyone live in a Virgin Media area who gets it below this price?0

I feel the Sky VIP scheme is largely just a gimmick anyway.

I took up sky signature £12.50 a month offer on my sky q box. 18 month contract. After I received email stating it’s only for 12 months. Meaning I would have 6 months of full price plus other offers would expire. Contacted sky to revert in cooling off period. They offered me a new contract (half way through my old contract)
Signature £17
ultimate add on (box sets Netflix) £4
Cinema £8
HD 3.50
Multi screen £10.50
Ultra HD free
Total £43
Saving me £36 a month0 -
@Grav15, Signature on it's own now includes the Box Sets !0

Just to report back, Im getting Sky Q installed on Wednesday. So hopefully I will be back on here singing its praises (and not how to fix any connection issues ! ). I managed to haggle a price of about £45 a month, including UHD , Sports, Cinema and multiroom. I didnt really want multiroom, but it was the only way to get some of the other deals. Bit of a pain that some deals now have 12 months left, and some are now 18 months. Does grate me how they keep repeating how much youve saved , like anybody would pay the full price.
No charge to install... surely nobody agrees to the £199 ?
Any tips when Mr Sky comes to install ? They dont know if the dish needs replacing yet apparently. Will it be easy to test with the engineer whilst he is here, on how Sky Q runs with my BT router in another room upstairs ?
