Didn't really have to "haggle" this as it was just the first offer they made and I was helping a relative who didn't want me to push it further or bother with actually asking to cancel etc. They just wanted it sorted straight away.Current deal due to end in August:(for an Old Sky+ box)'Original' package (a very old package which doesn't even include all the channels that are a part of the basic Entertainment package) £20.70Cinema (in HD) £5Total £25.70 per month (although was £23.50 for most of the deal, until 'Original' was increased £2.20 in the recent general increase)Price was due to go up to £46.70 (full price) when the current deal ended in a few weeks time.New deal offered for 18 months:Signature package (so more channels included than they had before, plus box sets included as well now) £17Cinema (in HD) £5Total £22 per month (discounted from £49)AFTER we had already accepted the above offer, the chat advisor suddenly offered to also upgrade the old Sky+ box to Sky Q for FREE as well.Final result:Signature & Cinema HD for £22 per monthUpgrade to Sky Q for FREERelative has been a Sky customer about 16 years. We used the Sky Messenger service on the 'How to Cancel' page.Just selected the 'cost' option as the reason they were thinking of cancelling when the auto chatbot asked - then put through to an actual advisor who (once security passed) made the above offer straight away without a word from us at all! So never asked them about cancelling nor even asked them about offers. Relative was just happy to take first offer without actually haggling anything and whole conversation was complete within 20 minutes0

Had a bit of trouble with the offer I accepted through the www.sky.com/mydeal page. Went ahead with it, got the usual screen message re email to follow and updated billing in a couple of days but nothing happened. Tried the online chat and was told the new bits and bobs would go ahead and I'd be able to see the changes in a couple of days (yes, again!) but still nothing showing. Did this whole thing twice but still didn't get anything on my account. Eventually just rang them to say I was quite annoyed that I couldn't get the offer so just cancel. They asked me if I had any screenshots, which of course I had (ALWAYS do this!!). The lady went away and did some fiddling and now I've got a better deal overall, I think.Signature £12Ultimate £4Complete Sports £16 Sports HD £2Cinema £8HD £3 UHD FreeMultiscreen £7.50Superfast Broadband £22Re-contracting charges waived plus £30 credit.Overall, I'm very happy.0

I've recently cancelled the service altogether and they keep sending me emails and post offering it back for £17 per month. I believe that's just the basic channels without HD which seems to be also discounted if I want it and all sorts of discounts offered for other sports & movie extras. If I'd only being cancelling to get a special offer it'd have worked!0

Just to note my Sky TV went off a week ago and there has been no contact from the winback team as of yet.
How long does it usually take to get an offer?

Cancelled my sky TV (but kept the broadband so they don't cut me off whilst I wait for the cancellation offer)
They were offering
Signature for £39
Kids for £4
HD for £8
Tried to get everything for £40 but they said they couldn't
Here's waiting...0 -

they came back and offered it for £26 Signature and HD, i said couldn’t afford it and that my husband had just got back from his walk (true) and to proceed with cancellation. He then asked what my budget was and I told him £19 for both, said he would talk to his manager, also offered free upgrade to Q but not interested.0 -

Wait them out - better offers may appear. Even if they don't, you can accept the earlier offer up to the final day of notice if you can't stand to be without for the future but many (if not all) ex customers get good deals offered in the first few weeks after switch off.
Any advice on how to proceed?0
