I've been switched off sky q for 2 months, offers are crap. Got a letter other day saying £19pm for sky tv and cinema and boxsets, netflix £6pm, movies od £6pm, Sports £14 per month and fibre £27 per month, £2 hd, £4 ultra hd, £9 multi screen.
Haven't they sent a prepaid package to retrieve your Q box yet?
Yes but we lost it and they never contacted us.
Hmmmm.... if they are anything like Virgin they will "remember" in about 3 months time and send you an invoice !!

Our current Sky bill is £87.94 a month broken down as follows
    TV - £34.95
    Sky Entertainment - £28.95
    Sky HD - £6
    Sky + - free

    Broadband and Talk - £52.99
Sky Talk Line Rental - £18.99
    Sky Talk Anytime - £10
    Sky Wifi - Free
    Sky Fibre Unlimited - £24

Our price went up so going to assume our contract has finished. I was hoping to call and get close to the current new customer offer of £39 with Sky Q and Pay as You talk (we hardly use the phone so this is fine).  Whats my chances? Also how is everyone doing getting through on the phone?
  • I went to cancel, went on messanger chat, they asked if I had a vulanable person in the house, so put yes (my mum is over 70) and within 10 minutes had someone chatting to me about canceling... The deal he offered was:
    Sky Signature £25
    Sky Sports complete pack £16
    Kids £1
    Sky Multiscreen £14
    Total price £56
He also removed the £10 admin charge as he don't agree with people paying that.....

That's a terrible deal. Hopefully you turned it down.

Cancelled my current contract - went up to over £52, no calls, no emails following cancellationthen looked at the sky.com/mydeal page and getting the following:
    -------------------
    Sky signature £17 a month
Sky Sports £12 extra a month
    HD £1 extra a month
    Total £30 (18 Month Deal)
    --------------------
I was on Sky Q before, so assume it still will be Sky Q.
I had Netflix (through sky before) there's no mention of that. Assume that's std £8 upgrade?
They are also offering Sky Cinema at £6 but i prob wont take that option.
    Anyone think that's decent?

The Sky Sports and HD prices are good but you should be able to get Sky Signature for £15.

Also, when you take Netflix through Sky, you only pay £6 and your Netflix account will be in line with Sky, so with that deal, you’d have Netflix HD for £6. If you had Ultra HD with Sky then your Netflix account would be too for the same price.

Many thanks for that qwerty123456. I unfortunately dont have or require multi room which I understand was a pre-requisite for having Ultra HD. Quite frankly why you would need "4 eyes" in order to benefit from Ultra HD on a single screen has always mystified me! I trust that's all the same still.
So from what you are saying it's probably a good deal, and that i can add the £6 netflix later on. Worth chatting to them or just click "do it" online.
    Thanks again

Sky's packages are a bit confusing, but you don't need multiroom to have a 4K subscription.

You can get a UHD addon (which is on top of the HD addon) separate from the "Sky Q Experience" (multiroom + UHD) subscription.
She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?

When does a deal normally appear on the sky.com/mydeal page?  Is it after you have been terminated or in the months notice period?  I only ask as I gave my months notice yesterday and I cannot see any kind of offers on my online account yet.

I can only speak from personal experience, but mine was about 4-5 days after I phoned and cancelled my subscription - so well within the 30 day period.
Having said that, after choosing an option from the mydeal page, all I have received back is a generic email stating that I will be contacted shortly. So it doesnt actually look like the re-subscription has actually been processed yet. That was 48 hours ago.
