I was offered the same and did accept it. They did waiver the £10 admin fee. I think if I just cancelled they probably offer a better deal nearer the end date.
  • I've just returned back to my elderly parents house and found out they've been overpaying for almost 3 years on the legacy "Variety Package", paying £32 a month for the basic channels.  They've been loyal Sky customers for 10 years and whilst I know this isn't illegal, it's morality is questionnable.

Anyway, I cancelled their package on Friday but they are interested in keeping Sky on the recently advertised £29 deal for Sky Signature + Netflix + Sky Q box. I've checked their Sky Offers page and they've already offered us Sky Signature for £15 a month on an 18th month contract.

I've asked Sky what is the best price they could do on the above and they said £25 - do you think we should hold out for more? What do you think is the best deal we could get for the for Sky Signature + Netflix + Sky Q box package given our circumstances?

I recently bought a 4k HDR tv, so I am looking to upgrade from Sky + to Sky Q to watch 4K/UHD and  HDR when they have it.

Im currently 4 months into a 18 month contract (I wasnt planning to buy new TV back then ) , which is well discounted.  I currently have Sky Entertainment TV, Box sets, Cinema, Sports , all in HD , for £38.  When I renewed, they offered me a free install to Sky Q (and I think a mini box).

I don’t really care for multiroom, as can watch Sky Go on my laptop / tv. Tho if they still offer a free mini box without paying for Multiroom yet, I will take it.  Im not bothered about Netfilx.

    1.       So do I have to change Sky Entertainment to Sky Signature (£2 more than I pay now) , and then just add Sky Q Experience to get UHD on my channels I already have ?  Any help on haggling the price of that guys ?

    2.       Also, can someone plse just confirm, that now the only difference between a 1TB box and 2TB box is now just the storage capacity ?

Thanks in advance and stay safe guys.

I have cancelled my contract after 8 years, they have offered me Sky Signature for £17 per month, is this considered a good deal? Currently only Sky Entertainment.
Out of interest, what method did you use to communicate with Sky ?

I have been paying £11.71 for Variety + £13 for Sky plus HD + £14 sports + £6 cinema - for the last 18 months
In reality - I am not interested in Cinema and only want F1 sports - but Sky won't let me split this up !!
How do Sky come up with these seemingly random figures - anyone ?

I had a bit of a bad experience when phoning but thankfully the last person I spoke to managed to get me a deal which I accepted. This was Sky Signature, Kids and HD for £20 per a month (this was meant to be higher but I got a credit on my account to bring it to this price due to the bad experience I had).  He even waived the administration fee because I was incorrectly quoted prices on a another call and then another person signed up to a Sky Q without me agreeing! I think if you manage to find a decent person to speak to you, they will do all they can to get you a good deal.
I used to have all of the channels for £44 a month and this was going up to £48 but I got rid of Movies and Cinema will probably sign up to Netflix and Disney +. I stuck with Sky + rather than Sky Q as we have magic eyes set up in the house and didn't want to mess that up for the sake of Sky Q so will just get a streaming stick to watch Netflix on another tv.
  • How are people getting on in the current environment with speaking with sky. My contract up in the next few weeks, and got the "great news - we've given you 12 months of new offers" letter and telling me i don't need to do anything. Funny that - if i do nothing, i give them £23 a month more with their new offers. I have went to sky.com/extend and been told i have been selected to receive a 12-month extension of your offers. To me extend in this scenario is to make last longer - so it should be that my current offers are made to last longer, so no price increase (except the regular quid or 2 they put on every few months). Whats the best way these days of making my case.

My Dad got that same email. His offers are the same as what he is getting now with the only exception being the in-contract £5 discount. Are your offers different to what you've been getting?

I probably had a lot of "free" items or reduced items as I was a new customer when took out this contract as moved house and joined Sky as new. Its the confusing, misleading terminology that is annoying me the most. I do not mind playing hard ball with them, but was interested to know of the successes people are having at the moment if any? A £23 a month price hike is not great news despite what their letter tells me!

I think you would be better off just trying to negotiate a new deal.
