  • I've been with Sky for 3 years on a Phone and Broadband.
Last month I noticed they had increased my monthly  bill from £22.99 to £33.00 without any prior notification.
When I queried this, they said that they did not have to inform me prior to any price rise. I ask them for a better price. They said no.
I said how much notice do I need to give to leave. They said do you want to leave? I told them if you cannot give me a better price.
They said OK.  And put the phone down on me. about an hour later I received an email saying they were sorry that I was leaving Sky.
Two weeks later, phone and broadband was disconnected. It's a good job I have unlimited date on my mobile!
Reading some horror stories of how hard it was to leave sky. It seems it only took me 2 minutes

  • Currently one of many self employed so tried to reduce my bills ,contacted sky who I was paying £112 a month but could only reduce my bill by £10 which after all these years was not impressed. But was told to by a very nice operator to just go to the sky web site find a deal and call in to say you want it .I now pay £58 for the same deal I had before !
I know I've signed up for another 18 months but this should be done for long standing customers (and everyone ) without even asking.

LOL, there is no loyalty bonus etc for long standing customers! Should have just cancelled to get better deal!

Do sky still have the page where you can see your offers when you are in your notice period, if so does anyone have the link?

    Thanks

I don't think the link would work for you anyway as they're personalised? Just log in, go to my account and the offers will be there. If it's a Q system you'll also see them on the box although they may be different offers.

I’m on live chat at the moment and was on yesterday talking to a different person and the prices are way apart. Yesterday £56.50 for tv and broadband and today the lady says she can’t match that and her best deal is £72 or £49 for just tv and yesterday just tv was £31.50

I spoke to them 2 days running not that I got anywhere 😢

live chat starts at 9am everyday.
I went on at 9am both days and didn’t get a response till about 13.30pm. My understanding is the sky team bounce between different customers answering questions, so normally it takes about 10-20 minutes to get a reply. So register for the chat and keep checking back every 20 minutes or so. It is painful 😖
