apologies if this is an oft asked question but how do I get through to live chat. Searched for ages in the help/my account section and only get an option for the phone number and google wasn't helpful either.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but can't see live chat anywhere...
Chat option should be at the bottom of the page.0 -
Tv deal ends April 1st thought I would chance my arm currently paying £63 a month for entertainment, sports, box sets, multi screen and HD.
They offered me on a new 18 month contract
Entertainment discounted to £22
HD £5
Box sets £5
Multi screen £13
Sports HD discounted to £16
£61 so an overall paltry £2 off. Said no thanks. Not able to cancel yet but will give my notice in on March 1st.
I have taken off HD and box sets straight away without penalty so saving £10 a month right off the bat.0 -

The only discount there is for Sports, Entertainment is only discounted £5 because you're willing to take an 18 month contract rather than a rolling monthly deal.
If you were paying full price for HD & Boxsets then you must be paying full price now excepting Sports. Why?
Go back through the last 2 or 3 pages and see what you should be paying.
You can set a cancellation date now for the 1st of April (I've done it myself previously), they just don't want the cancellation to add to their personal weekly/monthly totals. It probably won't speed up the offers however.0 -
I had a contract with them for broadband and TV last year I called up and say I want to cancel my Sky subscription (Jan 2019) after like 30 mins wait and shouting my post code at the machine I talked to I managed to get through to some sort of human being. After another 20 mins of them trying to convince me to stay with them the "Sky subscription was cancelled" I had to pay next month because of the 30 days !!!!!!!!- fine I paid that. My mistake was not to pay attention to my direct debits (which is why I'm having the financial difficulties- I know... I'm working on it) but I was apparently paying for the fricky TV for a whole year because "that's a different service" WHAAAAT? So I get on this chat where lady tells me she can't cancel it online because I don't have the security details set and I need to call them again. (Because person who would hack my account would go and cancel my Sky subscription as a prank...🤷🏼!♀️) Anyway, now I'm !!!!ed. I cancelled all my direct debits (Spotify was fine about it, Audioble too) and now I'm calling SKY on this paid number right (because I'm not holder of sky phone number). And I shout my postcode at the machine (foreign accent problems) and the machine tells me :" you cancelled your direct debit set it on now or call back when you have the information" I can't even talk to a person!? No option....
I'm about to give up on life rn. I didn't extend the contract with them or anything, they just decided that they'll cancel only my broadband and leave my TV on just because. Can I just ignore them for a while? (PS my next bill is due on 8th of Feb I don't want to pay it) should I just wait for them to send me final payment of some sort? I'm not giving them my payment info anymore....0 -

Yes, up until the debt collectors come calling and you suddenly owe them a lot more than you did Sky.
Awesome story and a perfect example of how NOT to do it.0 -
New Info.
Sky has started to offer FREE Sky Q to some of its sky VIP customers.
I’ve just taken up an offer for a Sky Q 1TB box, free installation and keeping to my original (discounted) sky package.
Install dates are already backed up to March, so it’s clearly popular.
Looks like they are keen to get rid of the Sky+ boxes still out there, so any haggling you do should include a free Q box.0 -
Haggle for a hybrid LNB while you are at it so that if you should leave Sky you can use your own receiver.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0

That’s the plan when the engineer contacts me prior to installation.0 -
