Hi, we just used to have Sky Fibre 36mb and then got the free boost/upgrade whatever they called it to 63mb, both have been absolutely fine. I don`t think Sky seem to do a 36mb now its 11 or 63 I think.

Thank you for the info about NowTV, if I can`t get an improved price from Sky think it will be the way to go.

Have just been back onto Sky to try for the offer made to me on Monday £12 Entertainment and £1 bor Box sets and HD. Was told offers are only available at the time they are made...its now £22!

Has anyone gone back to Sky after a few days of being made an offer and did Sky honor it? so cross with myself now

Yes, but only when I was in a cancellation period. I don't think you are if I remember correctly? You will get the same offer back but ONLY when you've scheduled a cancellation.

Just a note for anyone canceling or left. I cancelled, then tried get a deal, was not offered the best deals as posted on here so have since left.
I've been gone for 1 month and just be aware I never got called or emailed during my months notice or in the month after leaving.
Logging back into my account today to see if any come back offers and there is nothing.
I'm continuing on Freeview + Amazon Prime + catchups and surviving easily. Saved £45/m and £540/yr which will be handy.

Always felt I needed Sky (always had top package with 50 to 60% discount over the years) however was getting bored of Cinema offerings, hardly got time to watch Sports, but reality is I dont need Sky TV and regular price hikes. I've changed my viewing habits. Don't be scared to drop Sky tv. (Ive got Virgin broadband only)

Just started my cancellation period as my Sky bill had reached £86.50pm just for TV. I was on a deal for under £22 for all TV on the old Sky+ box.

    Best offer i received was...
    - Sky Entertainment - £15 // Due to a £12 off
    - Kids - £1 // Due to a £4 off
    - HD - £1 // Due to a £4 off
    - Box Sets - £1 // Due to a £4 off
    - Cinema - £8 // Due to a £11 off
    - Sports & HD - £17 // Due to a £13 off
    Total for 18 months contract = £43

To upgrade to Sky Q was £100 on top (From £199).

Not too far away from where I would like it to be but was hoping for it to be a bit cheaper, as I was on such a cheap price before.

If I go to the sky.com/mydeal page it redirects me to sky.com/live-chat/pending-cancel-tv. Hopefully this will change soon.

That's not a bad deal at all for the TV package. How long have you been with Sky and have you joined up with the VIP scheme? If not you may get a better deal on Sky Q.

£199 will be for the 2GB box, have you considered the 1TB box? You should be able to get that for £20 or so.

Hi Colin_Maybe, yes we are in the 31 day cancellation period, we get cut off on Monday. I`m going to keep trying today, any pointers to help would be much appreciated.

Apologies, I didn't see you mention you'd put a cancellation in at any time.

In that case see what Virgin and BT are offering for a basic package and use that when you get back in touch. Try to sound as you would be quite happy to leave or at least indifferent. Just say you're checking if there's any decent offers before you initiate the switch and mention the previous offer.

If you have a Sky Q system then check out the offers on the box too.

Thanks for replying, as you can tell I hate having to sort this kind of thing out, not fair that we should have to grovel when we are all so happy to be loyal customers at the right price.

I have checked our SKy Q box many times but am unable to find where any offers might be. I think I have clicked nearly every box there is. Is there a specific section I might be missing? thanks

I have just spent the best part of an hour on chat with Sky and they are adamant the price I got on Monday is for a `deal` they will not give me £12 Ent plus £1 for bo sets and HD unless I take out BB and anytime calls for £37 - total £51 :mad:

Best price for TV and add`ons is £22.

Now I have just opened a letter from Sky advising me that from 29th November they have given me 12 months of new offers ....which they have applied to my account!!

Broadband £12 and line rental £8 (this is not even for Fibre which is what I have had for the past 3 years) its just basic broadband. small print says I do not have to re contract so assuming can get out of this easily!

I am slowly loosing the will to live. Now I have to get on the phone to see what they are up to! Thank you for letting me have a little rant :(
