davidwiggins01 wrote: »Coming to the end of my 18 month contract as was previously paying the following for Sky TV:
Entertainment: £19
Box Sets: £1
Kids: £1.50
Sports: £15
Cinema: £6
HD: £1.50
Sports HD: £2
Sky Q Multiscreen: £13
Total: £59
Broadband and Phones adds another £32 = £91 in total
Went through an online chat and was offered the above for £94 in total + £20 admin fee so asked to cancel in the hope of being offered something better. This was just over a week ago and I've heard nothing since.
sky.com/mydeal gives me a message saying they can't process my request right now (url changes to /shop/select/pending-cancel/ineligible
Any advice on how I might be able to get this bill down a little? I'd be ok paying the same as I have done for the past 18 months given that I'm not getting anything extra for the increase they want to charge.
Thanks
Full TV package as above: £62
Broadband and Talk: £27 (my contract wasn't due to end until March, currently paying £32 a month)
Total TV, Broadband and Line Rental: £89
So £2 less than I've been paying for the past 18 months, which suits me.
This was via the online chat accessed from sky.com/reviewmyoptions
ETA I've now seen the breakdown in case anyone is interested:
Entertainment: £20
Box Sets: £1
Kids: £1
Sports: £13
Cinema: £11
HD: £1
Sports HD: £2
Sky Q Multiscreen: £13
Total: £62
Broadband and Phones adds another £27 = £89 in total0 -
Just had a long call to see what deal they can offer me.
Sky q multiroom with 2 boxes 10
Entertainment 20
Boxsets and kids free
HD 2
Cinema 8
Fibre broadband and payg phone 25
(But they couldn’t remove 1 q bid and keep the deal the same.) £65 total
Or
Sky q
Entertainment 20
Kids 2
Boxsets 2
hD 2
Cinema 11
Broadband/phone plus 4.2 boost 32
Total £69
I pushed and pushed for the deals posted on here but no luck...0 -
I’m now at £59 total.
Within that
Entertainment 20
Kids 2
Boxsets 2
HD 2
Cinema 11
Fibre broadband/phone line 17
4.2 boos hub 5
Unsure whether I will be able to get this down any further???
She spoke to her manager to get to this point and that still includes £20 installation......

A diamond VIP and you're not getting the best deals??? Sorry, not a dig at you but someone else who seems to believe the marketing hype.
You have to put a cancellation in to get the deals you see posted on here, that's the truth pure and simple.0 -

Is this with Fibre Max?0 -
Have just messaged Sky. They started off with Entertainment for £20 but after a bit of chatting I managed to get it reduced to £12 as part of a new package with HD and Box sets £1 each. But they don`t seem to want to play ball with regards to Broadband £27 and Talk anytime £10, total £51, plus the £10 admin fee. I have been paying £27 for Fiber BB and talk anytime but this offer runs out next month, NowTv offer this for £30, so will try again as would rather stay with Sky.
I`m wondering if I should have pushed for the TV separately and got that signed up, just thought if I did it all together as a new package I might get a better offer!! but maybe not!! The guy just said try again in a month or so as offers change all the time.
Please has anyone managed to negotiate a decent price Fibre BB and anytime calls?
Thank you0 -
Following on from my previous post, today I received an email and a text to say my new Sky Hub will be delivered. Whilst renegotiating my deal to stay yesterday it was agreed that I didn't need any new equipment but on chat today they are insisting that I need to return my current hub, receive the new hub and set it up or face a £30 charge.
What a complete waste of everyone's time!0 -

Sky don't seem to do bundled deals, I left for NowTV BB 18 months for that reason. You should still be able to get the TV deal (which is decent), but do you need the faster fibre speed? If not go for the 36Mbps NowTV offer at £25 (includes Anytime Calls).0 -
Hi Colin_Maybe
This is what they quoted:
Sky Q TV services is 18 months contract. (Sky Q equipment is loaned to you by Sky at no cost)
Here is your package summary:
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm Offer price will be £ 12.00
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm Offer price will be £1.00
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm Offer price will be £1.00
Sky Broadband Superfast @ £32.0 pm Offer price £27.00
Sky Talk anytime extra and Line rental @ £ 10.00
=============================================== The discounted offer price will be £51.00 pm for 18 months. Thereafter price will be £79.00 There will be £10.00 one off admin fee added to your first bill. In 18 months contract
I just assumed it was a package.
I don`t know how fast we need our BB to be as we have always had Sky Fibre! and its been really great, but I like to think I have got it at a good price. Would we notice much difference between 36Mps and 60`ish Mps. How do you find the NowTV BB? do you have to negotiate with them each year over price? Thanks0 -

I don't know your usage to advise whether you'd notice the difference so you'd have to give some more info.
NowTV are actually owned by Sky and as long as the connection now is fine you won't notice any difference between Sky & NowTV. You don't even need to change the router as it's the same one (I have the Sky Q router but branded NowTV).
You have to renegotiate with everybody but the only times I've had to speak to them it was really quick and easy. I'm not 100% sure that you're not talking to the same call centres when you phone either one.0
