Having been a sky customer for over 10 years I thought it was time to upgrade to a sky Q box.
Having gone through the live chat process I was offered
Entertainment pack £22
Ultimate on demand. £3
Super fast broadband £27
Line rental £0
Sky box sets £0
Netflix £0
1TB box £20
Admin £20
For 18 months on a 18 month contract £52.
I was ok with this but when I found out they wanted a extra £13 p/m for multi room which I tried to haggle about but they wouldn’t lower this.i told them I still wanted to cancel.
So after over 10 years of been loyal customer bye bye sky.0 -

Just to confirm as previous people had helpfully stated I got the Sky Q 2 TB box and mini box for free with £30 Installation as a Diamond VIP member and when the engineer arrives today he sold me for £69 for a 2nd mini box as apposed to the £99 they were trying to charge me during the initial order stage. Am so glad you guys gave me a heads up!
Now my packages it seems they have without asking discounted my Sky HD Multi room down from £13 to £6.50 LOL!!
Just looking at Interactive My Account and for all future bills it's showing:
Sky Q Multi room. £13 down to £6.50
Sky Cinema. £19 down to £10
Sky Entertainment £27 down to £15
Sky Box sets. £5. down to £1
Sky HD. £5. down to £1
Total monthly cost £33.50 From my original bills of £80.50
Has anyone else's Sky Q Multi room been reduced down like that?
To say I'm thrilled to bits is an understatement, I was thrilled with the £40 I had agreed to when renegotiating my package but this latest amendment they made off their own violition (no clue why) has made me really happy. Thanks everyone for all your help and advise.
I don't want to rain on your parade and hopefully those prices stick but with the way the Sky billing works 'future payments' might (and I emphasise might) not reflect the correct price until after your next payment where everything gets adjusted.
This is from my previous experiences after renegotiating.0 -

This is from my previous experiences after renegotiating.
It's already been adjusted as my Octs-Nov bill/payment was taken 3 days ago.
* All future bills after 23rd Sept order date should have been £40 pm for 18mths
* Sky credits were given as they wrongly charged admin fee's for both months.
Sept-Oct bill was £80.50 (what we were previously paying)
Oct- Nov taken 3 days ago was £10.19 after sky credit and adjustments.
Nov-Dec is showing as £19 after sky credit and adjustments.
Dec- Jan is showing as £33.50
Jan- Feb is showing as £33.50
Both the bill already taken and all future bills show the discounted prices agreed on plus the cancellation of Sky+ Multi room which has been replaced with Sky Q experience showing £13 discounted down to £6.50pm for 18 mths.
I'm hopeful it'll stick have taken photos incase they change it etc, can't see why they would but will just have to wait and see :0)0 -
Been on the mydeals and it has been updated to the following...
- Sky Entertainment - £15 // Due to a £12 off
- Kids - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- HD - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- Box Sets - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- Cinema, Sports & HD - £22 // Due to a £19 off
Total for 18 months contract = £40
To upgrade to Sky Q 1tb brought it up to £51.50pm (+£20 charge).
Still would like to get the main cost down. Feel that £40pm is too high.0 -
I was on £37 a month (went up from £35 in April).....end of deal £73
Entertainment

Kids
HD
Box sets
All on a crappy old sky HD box.
On the phone retentions offered £53 so binned it...cancelled 2 weeks ago.
1st e mail £39
2nd e mail £36 (not including HD / Box sets- cheeky sods so same as above basically)0 -

That £40 (especially for 18 months) isn't bad at all, I'm not sure upgrading to Q for an extra £11.50 (for only the 1TB box at that) is worth it for sure. I always flat out refuse to pay the 'admin fee', it's price gouging pure and simple.0 -
I cancelled about a month ago (cancellation date is 24/10) but I'm only getting the below offer, they're not budging at all (I've tried 3 times via livechat):
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm( £20 with offer)
Sky Kids Pack @ £5.00 pm( £1 with offer)
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm( £1 with offer)
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm( £1 with offer)
Sports Pack in HD @ £30.00 pm( £22 with offer)
Sky Line Rental with Talk Anytime Extra @ £10.00 pm
Broadband Superfast @ £32.00 pm( £27 with offer)
I'm going to have to let the cancellation go through and see what they offer. I don't actually watch any Sky myself but my parents watch it daily...they'll just need to talk to each other more until I find something better0 -
Got a message from sky with a new offer
Entertainment pack £17
Box sets £2
Board band. £27
Keeping my sky + box
Total £46 for a 18 month contract.
This is my exactly the same as my current package with just a £5 a month saving but tied into a 18 month contract.
I pointed this out on live chat but they say that’s the best they can do.i could get a sky q package with freeNetflix for £52 a month.
Same old sky not bothered about existing customers.0 -
£199 Sky Q 2 TB box installation one off added to first bill once
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm (£22 pm for 18 months)
Sky Kids Pack @ £5.00 pm (£2.50 pm for 18 months)
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm (£2.50 pm for 18 months)
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm (£2.50 pm for 18 months)
Sports & Cinema Pack @ £41.00 pm (£26 pm for 18 months)
So your total monthly cost will be £55.50 per month for 18 months thereafter £83 per month.
The upfront charge seemed expensive (especially since im not even buying a box to keep), so sadly declined and am continuing the cancellation.

You're doing the right thing.
Have you not joined the VIP scheme? You should be able to reduce that £199 charge.0
