I could phone about the offers currently new customers are getting but I hate phoning them so badly that I will leave it and see out my contract.0

However, if you sign up for Sky Q you could find an enticement deal offered to you I accept, but you'd have to agree a new 18 month minimum term and very likely be charged a new installation fee!:eek:0 -

I agree with you and that's why I won't bother. Im already on 1tb Sky Q. Its frustrating that's all for £2 extra new customers are having HD and Movies. At the moment I probably watch about 2 football games a week and it doesn't represent value, there is the odd programme I would like to tape but my sd channel is so bad its pointless. There is not hope in hell I will pay £5 for HD.0 -

You'll just have to wait and negotiate a retention deal when it is possible for you to do this (or simply become a new customer with another provider)

Such deals will only be for a limited period and even if you sit out your current minimum term, you won't be classed as a "new" customer again unless you cancel and leave Sky for 12 months or more.

It is envy, bottom line the prices should be the same for everyone. If I feel others have had more value, they won't have my custom when my contract is completed.0 -

Well you're definitely not getting a better deal unless you ask :cool:0 -

All providers offer incentives to new customers, otherwise they'd have difficulty signing up such customers. You are not a new customer, so ignore such deals as you are not eligible for them.

Well, he can't even ask while still in the minimum term..

Of course they can ask, there's no leverage but if they can tie them to a new 18 month deal and there's something suitable you never know your luck.0 -

Any offer therefore, 18 month contract or not, will not be as generous.0 -
Last night I went on Live Chat and threatened leaving and was given the following offer straight after getting through to someone after the robot questions.
Entertainment £11 for 12 months, then £22 for 6 months.
Box Sets £2 for 18 months
Kids £2 for 18 months
Cinema £8 for 18 Months
HD £2 for 18 months.
(£25 for 12 months then £36 for 6 months)
Asked a couple of questions then went to accept the offer but the operator was at the end of their shift so said we'd pick up the conversation this morning. Went back on this morning and confirmed the offer to be told they'd managed to drop Box Sets, Kids and HD to £1 for 18 months so my final deal is.
£11 + £1 + £1 + £8 + £1 = £22 for 12 months, then £33 for the next 6 months.
My current deal (Above without cinema is £33 a month) so very happy with the result for very little effort.0
