Best price for TV and add`ons is £22.
Now I have just opened a letter from Sky advising me that from 29th November they have given me 12 months of new offers ....which they have applied to my account!!
Broadband £12 and line rental £8 (this is not even for Fibre which is what I have had for the past 3 years) its just basic broadband. small print says I do not have to re contract so assuming can get out of this easily!
I am slowly loosing the will to live. Now I have to get on the phone to see what they are up to! Thank you for letting me have a little rant
Wow, no idea what's going on with your account now. What does it say when you log in to the account online?
If they have seriously messed that up then I think you're best putting a complaint in.
Either send a letter to:
Customer Complaints
Sky Subscribers Services Ltd
PO Box 43
Livingston
West Lothian
EH54 7DD
or an email to either:
jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com
estenquiries@bskyb.com
Edit: the letter may be an offer to extend your present deal for another 12 months without you having to haggle, a few people have had them over the last 12 months or more.0 -
Just checked my account again, really don`t know what they are playing at: now looks like I still have Fibre! my cost until 29 November currently is £27.00
Broadband & Talk 30.99
Sky Talk Line Rental 10.99
Sky Talk Line Rental 18.99
Sky Talk Line Rental Discount -8.00
Sky Talk Anytime Extra 10.00
Sky Fibre Max 10.00
Sky Fibre Max 27.00
Broadband Subsc Discounted -5.00
Broadband Subsc Discounted -12.00
It seems bill will go from £27 to £30.99 on the 29 Nov.. which is ok as gives me time to shop round on Black Friday deals and see what is available. Also think I am correct in reading that I can cancel anytime (the offer is for 12 months but not on contract)
small print says,
"New 12 month offers available to recipients of this communication by invitation only. The offers have already been applied to your account. You do not need to recontract to get these offers. Log into MySky to view your latest bill. After these offers you will be required to pay standard full price. If you wish to cancel your current package or any element of it, you will not be eligible for these offers if you rejoin. You may lose the offers if you make any changes to your current package. If you wish to cancel this offer you can do so any any time by contacting Sky in the usual way. Prices may increase etc etc"0 -
Just looked at my bills and noticed that I am now being charged £5 pm each for box sets and HD both were from a previous deal and free at the time. My future bills are going up again....rang to ask for box sets and HD to be taken off so saving £10 per month or so I thought but works out only saving £5 per month due to increases due . By Dec this year my monthly bill will be £90.10 !!!! I have sky entertainment £27 pm sky q multi room £13 pm fibre max b/b £11.01 pm line rental £18.99 (basic ) plus box sets and hd at £5 pm each.
Just saw an ad on tv for £39 pm for tv,b/b and line rental !!!!
Rang and was told the best they can offer me is £75 pm.........looking at other providers now as tired of all this with sky, unless you check your bills regularly they are creeping up and up .Tired of trying to haggle as life is too short to spend hours of your day on the phone to sky :mad:0 -
Move ISP at the end of every contract instead of bothering to haggle .
Of course not every ISP will have the services you may want like Sky has .
Alternatives like Netflix NowTV are worth looking at .0 -
Wish Virgin has Sky Atlantic! I am so frustrated with Sky..am going to get a 3 months entertainment package for our NowTv box on Monday and see how it goes £15
Have just spoken to win back team who will not budge on price, even tried to get me to move broadband to a package that was £7 more than I am paying! and I only rang about the TV!0 -
Just started my cancellation period as my Sky bill had reached £86.50pm just for TV. I was on a deal for under £22 for all TV on the old Sky+ box.
Best offer i received was...
- Sky Entertainment - £15 // Due to a £12 off
- Kids - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- HD - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- Box Sets - £1 // Due to a £4 off
- Cinema - £8 // Due to a £11 off
- Sports & HD - £17 // Due to a £13 off
Total for 18 months contract = £43
To upgrade to Sky Q was £100 on top (From £199).
Not too far away from where I would like it to be but was hoping for it to be a bit cheaper, as I was on such a cheap price before.
If I go to the sky.com/mydeal page it redirects me to sky.com/live-chat/pending-cancel-tv. Hopefully this will change soon.
How long have you been with Sky and had you signed up for the VIP?
We'd been with them 19 years and were being quoted £174 including installation for the 2TB Say Q box and a mini box.
2 hours later I signed up for Sky VIP became a diamond member and got it all for free with a £30 install fee so depending on what ypur answers are to the above is prob hold off on sky q and do it seperatley.0 -

BT TV is supposed to be getting Sky Atlantic soon as part of the deal to allow Sky to include BT Sports in their package (I think that Ireland [STRIKE]North &[/STRIKE] South already do with Sky Sports Extra?). It was supposed to be early this year when it was announced but there was some sort of issue with NowTV (which is where the access to Atlantic comes from) on the BT box. There may be an entirely new BT box that's needed for BT customers subscribing. It's a bit confusing with a lack of update from either side at the moment.

Edit: just the RoI I think, not Northern Ireland.0 -
I have been with Sky for 8 years. I'm a Sky VIP platinum member.
On the mydeals page do you have to speak to an adviser or does it tell you what they are willing to offer? How long do you normally wait before asking what deals are available?0 -
Ok I feel like I'm spamming you all but figure you'd want to know.
Just to confirm as previous people had helpfully stated I got the Sky Q 2 TB box and mini box for free with £30 Installation as a Diamond VIP member and when the engineer arrives today he sold me for £69 for a 2nd mini box as apposed to the £99 they were trying to charge me during the initial order stage. Am so glad you guys gave me a heads up!
Now my packages it seems they have without asking discounted my Sky HD Multi room down from £13 to £6.50 LOL!!
Just looking at Interactive My Account and for all future bills it's showing:
Sky Q Multi room. £13 down to £6.50
Sky Cinema. £19 down to £10
Sky Entertainment £27 down to £15
Sky Box sets. £5. down to £1
Sky HD. £5. down to £1
Total monthly cost £33.50 From my original bills of £80.50
Has anyone else's Sky Q Multi room been reduced down like that?
To say I'm thrilled to bits is an understatement, I was thrilled with the £40 I had agreed to when renegotiating my package but this latest amendment they made off their own violition (no clue why) has made me really happy. Thanks everyone for all your help and advise.0 -
