Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Entertainment should be £15 (the £4 they've knocked off cinema has just been counter-acted by the extra here), Kids and HD should be £1 each, Sports HD charge should be included in £15 Sports and you should try to haggle another couple of pound off that if you can although its just ok. Your cinema price is very good so no need to haggle on that (as long as you manage to get the £4 knocked off Entertainment).0

I must be on a legacy deal I`m assuming: -
Sky+ HD
Box Sets - £20.75
Sky Sports - £14
HD - Free
Sky Sports HD - £3
So, £37.75 in total, for everything except movies. Been on this deal for years, normally just get a letter from Sky every year saying `no need to contact us, we`ve extended your current deal for a further 12 months`.
Not this year thoughI see my future bills are due to rocket up to £61.50.
Any thoughts on what price I could achieve for this package?
Cheers!3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

Got in touch via Live chat this morning, the guy could extend my current deal but not reduce it so asked to cancel. He gave me a `Super Saver` number (which was not to be shared....although is available through google!) apparently.
Just called them and was offered same package for £52 at best, asked to cancel and was put through to TV cancellation department. Nice Scottish lass offered me a better deal. I accepted, with little no haggling necessary: -
Sky+ HD (no mention of Q throughout which suits me)
Entertainment - £20 (£27)
kids - £1 (£5)
Box Sets - £1 (£5)
HD - £1 (£5)
Complete Sports - £11 (£28)
Sports HD - £2 (£6)
Admin fee of £20, completely waived without even asking :T
Total of £36 (full price - £76) on 18 month contract, 53% discount. Happy with that3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

I'm not surprised you couldn't get a deal on a legacy package (you've done well to get this far on a good deal), they've been phasing them out for awhile now.
I'm puzzled as to why various people have got Sky Sports HD though, I thought they'd rolled that all in ages ago.0 -

I dunno, I was just looking at the price and was happy with that. The breakdown of my bill shows Sky Sports HD for £2.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

I was on a legacy package and it worked out much cheaper to swap to a new package. Im getting all that plus movies for the same price on the current packages.0 -

The deal that shavy65 has, is virtually the same as mine -I'm paying £35pm but without kids channels. I renewed at this time last year - my sports HD is still shown as a separate item on the breakdown.0 -
Sky have been playing hardball this year for us.
I was paying £43 + 2 for ultimate on demand so £45. It then increased to £48 for inflation. They then sent a letter saying don't worry we have kept you discounts for another year but on checking it still increased the price to £51 so I cancelled.
Why do they make it so bloody difficult!
Anyway no calls and no packaging for the Sky Q came through, I queried yesterday and they said something had glitched in my account. The services terminate today.
I have spoken to them this morning and they offered £46 without netflix but £10 admin which was the last straw so I said no thank you as she would not budge. Just another stealth charge.
We have Sky Q Entertainment, Box Sets, Sky Sports and Multi room box.0 -
Sky Entertainment £15 reduced from £27! (18 month contract)
Box Sets £2.50 reduced from!£5
HD channels £2.50 reduced from £5
Kids channels £2.50 reduced from £5
Sky Cinema £11
Sky Sports £17 reduced from £30!(18 month contract)
Total £50.50 per month for the tv with the discounts being for 18 months with a one off £20 admin fee so this would be £82.50 per month and then £86.49
Above is what I have been offered for a deal on my old Sky+ box. Ive gone ahead with a cancellation anyway.
What deals should I ask for when i call back? im happy to switch to SkyQ 2TB box if needed.0 -
Just a heads up after re-negotiating a deal please check your bills and future bills on the Sky Interactive.
I'd renegotiated a deal after being through to the WIN BACK team and it was entirely different to what I ended up being charged.
After many phone calls and frustrated arguments they finally fixed it today. Albeit am still waiting for the refund of £10 admin fee.
Bare in mind you have 31 days cooling off period to make changes.
I also upgraded from Sky HD to Sky Q 2 tb and a mini box for free with a £30 install as both Sky HD boxes had, had it. They wouldn't shift on the Ultimate on demand and would only reduce it down by £2 To £10 So I didn't bother as it seems some people get it for £3
Previous bills for Legacy packages £80.50
Now paying: £40.00
Sky Entertainment £15
Cinema. £10
Multi room. £13
Box sets. £1
HD. £10
