I have been offered: (on Sky HD rather than Q)
Entertainment
Cinema
Box Sets
HD
Kids
Multiscreen
Total £48
Sky are saying this is the best they can do...
Is this any good?0 -
Not very good at all, last year I had Sky Q + mini Full package £47.96. For the price they've offered you at worst it should include the full Sports HD package as well, but even with that included as your on Sky HD I would expect a slightly cheaper price than that. Based on what you want I wouldn't accept anything more than the £36 mark. Suggest you cancel and wait for the offers to arrive and check the mydeal link.0

So, I'm in the 17th month of my current 18 month deal and so it's time to starting thinking about playing the fantastic retentions game with SKY again...
This is what I currently have.
SKY+HD box
All sports channels in HD
On whatever was/still is called their Entertainment package (in HD)
Currently pay £38/month but have seen from future bills that this will soar to £66/month ..which I'm not willing to pay of course.
What price do you folks think I should be able to get for the above? I'm not interested in SkyQ.0 -
I did! I cancelled on Monday. No offers.
When I spoke to the cancellations team, the first chap said that is the best (I was offered £47 on Monday!) he could do.
Second call, and chap said no offers were showing on the system for me, which was unusual. Went off and spoke to manager who said there is a known system glitch causing some accounts to show no offers. Also it is the new yearly quarter which brings new offers.
Eventually dropped to £47 with £10 admin. Reluctantly accepted!0 -
just spent half hour on phone to Sky; wanted initially to downgrade but told I couldn't due to being in contract to Sept 2020. I said I would pay the £60 to cancel then but advised this is only for the Cinema package and I couldn't actually cancel at all. Been a good customer for several years which was acknowledged but still told nothing can be done. I said this about my financial situation and the need to reduce my outgoings due to personal reasons which I had to disclose when questioned - yet this made no difference at all. I said I couldn't believe any company would not help someone in financial difficulty - is this allowed? Apparently so.
It is my fault I accept as I agreed at outset the conditions...but people's circumstances change - that's life. My crystal ball failed and now I'm stuck paying £60 I cant afford.0 -
Vk2003, didn't you check the mydeal link the day after you cancelled. You accepted to easily, if you only cancelled the other day, you had a whole month to see what offers arrived, just need to be patient, they can take some some to come through. £47 + the admin fee is way to much in my opinion (that admin fee is a total rip off), my advice, ring back and cancel and stick to your guns and wait for a better offer and keep checking the mydeal thread.
At worst this is what you should be getting:
Entertainment £15
Cinema £10 (at best maybe £7 like I got)
Box Sets £1
Kids £1
HD £1
Multiroom £13
£41 and thats on Sky Q not HD which should be cheaper
I've got with Sky Q this year
Entertainment £15
Cinema £7
Box Sets £1
HD £1
Total £24 for 18 months
Was also offered Sports HD for £12 but don't watch it enough to justify it so didn't bother to haggle it down more and removed it (Paid £10.96 last year).0 -
Coming to the end of my 18 month contract as was previously paying the following for Sky TV:
Entertainment: £19
Box Sets: £1
Kids: £1.50
Sports: £15
Cinema: £6
HD: £1.50
Sports HD: £2
Sky Q Multiscreen: £13
Total: £59
Broadband and Phones adds another £32 = £91 in total
Went through an online chat and was offered the above for £94 in total + £20 admin fee so asked to cancel in the hope of being offered something better. This was just over a week ago and I've heard nothing since.
sky.com/mydeal gives me a message saying they can't process my request right now (url changes to /shop/select/pending-cancel/ineligible
Any advice on how I might be able to get this bill down a little? I'd be ok paying the same as I have done for the past 18 months given that I'm not getting anything extra for the increase they want to charge.
Thanks0 -
Currently have TV through Sky & BB/phone through Virgin. Was paying £38 for phone & BB (100mb & Talk Weekends) and £33 for HD basic & box sets.
Just agreed to £52.50 for Sky BB and phone with evening & weekend calls, Sky Q 1TB (tv package breakdown was Entertainment £10, Cinema £11, Box Sets £1 and HD £1). Free install and £10 activation.
Virgin wanted £72.50 going up to £77 after 6 months for similar but with the V6 box
Decent deal?0 -

Presuming that's fibre (and you get a decent speed out of it) then that's not bad overall. I personally wouldn't have paid the 'admin fee' but I've got a serious bee in my bonnet about Sky charging that.0 -

Check through your Q box for a deal, you may have to hold on until the week before the cancellation goes through and see if they contact you or give them a call. They appear to be giving out good deals at the moment.
Edit: looking at the breakdown I don't think that's too bad at the moment TBH. Maybe the odd pound or two could be shaved off but you can lose in other areas then.0
