  • I had to jump hoops tonight to get the offer applied properly and it is still showing with price rises from April.

    However I should be getting:

    Sky Entertainment £15
    Box sets £1
    HD £1
    Cinema £9
    Q Experience £12 (rises to £13 though)
Sky Fibre Max and Line Rental £17

The old £15 deal has now ended with the price rise today so frustrated I didn't save an extra £2 but overall my deal should be cheaper than last year if they get the bills right. Remember to screenshot your live chats and record calls if you can!

When you change your Sky package deal halfway through a billing period it looks incredibly complicated with a bunch of cancellations, additions and all kinds of weird looking calculations, so you often need to look at the following month's bill to check you've got what you asked for.

I did notice the bill figure for the Sky website Future Bills section and the one presented to me on the Yellow button don't actually match and yellow button seems to have mashed two bills together for some reason.

In my experience you have to actually wait until the next bill has been paid for the future bills to come into line. It's just the way their system works.
  • Contacted Sky to renegotiate my contract as it expires in mid-March. They said I would get the best deal in the universe (ok I might have used creative language a bit) offered to reduce from £38.95 sky fibre max to £27 (I don't own a Tv). I pointed out that's the exact same deal they give to new customers and if I was a new customer I could go through Topcashback and get £95 cashback, he said he could do nothing more so it's off to Plusnet.

    Hi,

I've just been speaking with someone at Sky over Live chat and they have offered me the following deal.

This is the package summary Sky Broadband Unlimited- £0 for 12 months and thereafter £12.01 a month Sky Line rental-£8.99 per month for 12 months and thereafter £18.99 a month Sky Talk Anytime Extra- £10 per month == Your monthly cost for Sky Talk and Broadband will be just £18.99 per month for 12 months contract and thereafter £41 per month.

Prior to this i was paying £30.50 a month. Do you guys think this is a good deal or should i continue haggling with them? Bearing in mind i didn't put a cancellation through at this point i was just speaking with someone on live chat, first he offered me £23.99 a month but i managed to get them down to £18.99 but wondering if i can get any more out of them or would i be pushing my luck?

    Thanks

https://www.sky.com/shop/broadband-talk/#section-2 - implies that they were ripping you off - previously - £18 appears to be the set price now (plus calls)

Why not upgrade to Fibre ?
£27 inc weekend and evening calls !

If you're happy with the speed then it's not a bad deal especially if you use the phone a lot.
  • I had Sky Talk Anytime Extra for £8 a month so i wasn't on pay as you go.
  • Sky seems to be sticking to there guns of 18.99 which is not too bad I guess considering what services I am getting from them. They want me to sign a 12 month contract too which I am not to keen on. Is anyone out there getting a good deal from them without signing a 12 month contract?

    Thanks

Signing a 12 or 18 month contract can be a good thing - I signed for 18 months, last month - on a fixed price agreement - so no price rises during the contract..
