Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Personally I wouldn't bother calling, but use the web chat instead. It can take much longer but may be more fruitful.
As I said a few pages back, my current deal is £26 p/m (Ent, Cinema, HD, Box sets) - just over 50% off - and secured through web chat. Phone would only ever offer me £38. My previous deal was at £30 which I was happy to settle at with but at £26 I couldn't not say no to that0 -

We are currently on a 50% discount currently which ends in March. She said they would probably offer a deal at the end of this but the one they could do was actually £12 more expensive and wanted me to enter 18 month contract. I had to ask her to repeat what she had said - pay £12 more for 18 months- i.e best part of £200 more for the same service which I should be grateful of because Im a gold VIP member.... Okaaaay!...
Will be calling them again in about 3-4 weeks so will see if the magical 50% discount can be offered.
I'm similar being on a 50% deal (until the start of May) and a Platinum member but both online and via the VIP App, the 'Offers' section tells me 'Unable to Proceed, Please Phone'. I've spoken to them just the once since the initial Live Chat via the same method and they did the usual where the offer is more expensive than the first chat.
I might have to convince the wife that we don't really need it as I've had enough of trying to get a decent deal off them (their full prices are atrocious IMO). I certainly won't be phoning or even contacting them again so it's up to Sky now. It will mean getting my PAC too but I was happy enough with Plusnet mobile anyway.
I checked the other offers on the App while I was there and Sky appear to believe all of their customers have little kids and the money & time for a trip to London and in some cases to the states. As far as I'm concerned the money they've spent and still are on the VIP promotion is a total waste.0 -
VIP rewards aren't very good at all in my opinion.
Why should we be grateful for the 'chance' to win tickets. Everytime I looked for sports tickets it says that they are FULLY BOOKED.0 -
Agree that the VIP rewards is a joke. Its another marketing ploy which has no real substance and benefit to you on a regular basis.
If I wanted to apply for things I would enter competitions etc. At this rate, I would rather just get now tv for the sky one/Atlantic/discovery channels that I watch in the main.0 -

Plus they are always in London etc - nowhere local that I would be able to (or want to..) go to ...... a bit pointless really...
They do offer you a discount on an already overpriced "sound box" and a free preview channel to watch Atlantic ... wow !!
Also free Sky Go extra and free set up for broadband and Q - Again WOW !0 -
Ive just given my 31 days notice... Apparently Im on too good of a deal now and they need people paying more...
Good luck to them is all I say..0 -

now you've cancelled, what does https://www.sky.com/mydeal offer?
Cheers - hadn't got the context of that link before as I hadnt read all 127 pages.
Current deal is £51.75 which includes fibre, sky q 2tb and 2nd box, entertainment, hd, box sets, kids
When i go to that page, this is what they offer me...
Your order
Sky Entertainment
[STRIKE]£22[/STRIKE] now £15
Box Sets
[STRIKE]£5[/STRIKE] now £1
HD
[STRIKE]£5[/STRIKE] now £1
Total monthly cost
[STRIKE]£32[/STRIKE] now £17
Does this mean I get to keep all my equipment still as I have a 2nd Sky Q box? Im sure they said multi room was £12
They are offering Movies, Sports & Kids all reduced but don't need kids anymore and don't have sports/movies. So if I paid £27 for their fibre, Im at £44 which is very close to the price I asked them to match... With cashback probably get this down to £22 a month - so £39 a month is a great deal for us...
Why do they make it so hard on themselves... (rhetorical question)0 -

Mine was the same, so I took a screenshot of the offer, accepted it and called up to confirm. ]I believe you will get it for £12 a month for the "Q experience"
Mine actually came out at £10 a month because they had to move around a few things...
Good luck!0 -
Thing is, I rarely use the 2nd box where I am now.
The other thing I should add in is that Im looking at a 12 month contract for the above not the standard 18months too for the entertainment package with everything else being 31 day rolling contract.0
