What I, we fid at times is to get my daughter to ring them and speak on our behalf as we have found out that many, not all young men on the other end of the phone are usually more receptive to a lady, create rapport with them, tell them of deals you have seen with other providers and considering those, have a little laugh/giggle and usually does the trick. At times you will get a stern, could not careless approach, just hang up and redial, it works for me and the family.

I just did it on live chat messenger. They offered £55 first then £44 and finally £39 which I agreed but then he mentioned the £20 admin so I refused hoping he would waive it but wasn’t having none of it so I said I would go ahead and cancel and then at the last minute he said his manager said they would reduce to £34 a month for 18 months but would have pay the £20 admin which I’d didn’t mind as now paying £4.80 less each month. Usually I’ve had to be cut off before getting a good deal so was really surprised I got this.0

This admin charge is a pain - they wouldn't waive the £10 when I did a deal in October, even when I continued with the cancellation - but I did get an improved discounted offer over 18 months -can't really see the logic:rotfl:0 -
I contacted Sky just before moving house and said I wanted to change my package to only sports. I only use Sky for TV and mostly for sports, no internet or phone. I explained that should I move to Virgin I could get my current package, plus lighting fast broadband and all my landline calls with line rental, for less than my current Sky package. I emphasised that because of Netflix/Prime/Apple TV I was not interested in box sets/documentaries/children's channels/movies. Sky offered me a stripped back package including SKY Sports, Sky Entertainment, Sky Go Extra, all in HD, for £42 a month. We don't need multiscreen because with an Xbox One you can have a Sky Go App which allows you to basically have the same features on whichever TV it is connected to.0

Hello, we are approaching the end of our 12 month contract with a discount which was renewed by letter last year, we currently have:
All of the channels including HD with the old sky box for £31 p/m
I have just logged onto sky chat to speak with someone and they have offered me the same deal but for £41 p/m still on the old box, They have said that this is still cheaper than for new customers. I did try to get Sky Q thrown in however the agent wasn't budging. What are people's opinions on this offer? I have't handed in my cancellation yet as they said if I do, I would not be able to get offers on the old sky box and only sky Q which would be more expensive.
What are people's opinions? Currently out of the loop what is a good offer these days.0 -
I need some advice...
My current deal comes to an end in March, I got a letter the other month to say that they'll keep me on my deal and put me on Fibre Max from Fibre unlimited at no extra cost sometime in the new year.
I'm on the old Boxsets package on a Sky+HD box with Fibre unlimited and a phoneline that I never use and I don't have sports or movies and pay £48.70. In March this will go upto £52.69.
Is it worth cancelling to see if they can do a better deal or is what I've got already good enough when I get Fibre max at no extra cost?0 -
Been with sky 3yrs.
Paying £54 a month for a full boxset package, sports, cinema, kids HD, with broadband.
Noticed it came to the end of my contract after they took full £100+ from my bank statement.
Called to renew as was but the best they could offer was £74 a month so I cancelled.
And they won't reimburse the additional money they took this month.
Not pleased with their customer service. Polite and nice people but really really annoyed at this!0 -

Thanks, is the package they are offering not worth it then?0
