Hi all
My current package over that expires in a few weeks is:
Box Sets
£23.70 - (£39.50 Discounted by £15.80)
Sky Sports - Complete Pack
£16.80 (£28.00 Discounted by £11.20)
Sky Cinema
£6.00 (£10.00 Discounted by £4.00)
HD Basic
FREE
Sky Sports HD
£2.40 (£6.00 Discounted by £3.60)
Sky Q Multiscreen Pack
£12.00
Total £60.90
I also had some vouchers thrown in when I renewed which took the effective cost down a bit.
This is after the wonderful £42 for everything our first year (74 for Box Sets with Sports & Cinema with a 44 discount and 12 a month for sky q Multiroom!)
Renewal this year coming in close to 70. Appreciate this includes netflix as part of the new box set deal so will save me a fiver there.
Cancelled and 2 weeks into the 4 week period and no attempt to contact (despite all contact options on). What can I expect for a good deal or this is as good as it will get?
Low and behold I got the call back and got a great deal... £47.75pm for 12 months (only £15 of that is tied to a contract!) - still keeping all the same as above. Much easier than last year and a terrific deal! So keep holding out and you never know!
See you again in a year...!0 -

Is that £15 for the legacy Boxsets package or did you move to Entertainment?0 -
I've been on 60% off for 2 years, they automatically gave me the 2nd year, It's due to run out in Jan. Received an email today automatically applying 50% off for the next 12 months.
So the full package, on old style HD box will be £41.75. I'll probably just take that.
It's the 1st time I've had an offer come through like this, although I've probably into my 10 year of 50% or more discount now.0 -

Hi Colin
It's a move to entertainment. The boxes is an addition they're charging £1 for.0 -
Hi
I’ve been a sky customer for 10 years or more. I am moving soon from one flat to another. I currently have a Sky HD Box and my own dish, but have been told the new build flats have a communal dish. Does that mean that if I went with Sky in the new build that I would only be able to watch and record 1 programme at a time. Have been told it’s set up for SkyQ. I spoke to be neighbour and she is waiting on her viewing card before sky can set her up (post code is registered with Royal Mail, but problems with it being recognised and that is making me wonder if I should wait on Sky too)
My current subscription is £95.50
TV
Sky cinema £18
Box sets£39.50!, (will cancel both of these and I thought Box Sets were included in with price)
Broadband unlimited £11.01
Talk £26.99
Can someone please advise a stressed out and disorganised home mover? Thanks.0 -

Re my above post. Would it work out better to leave and wait for deals or just say I’m moving? I’m out of contract.0 -

I think you need to work out what you want from Sky in your new flat and then work out the best deal.
Will you just want the most basic Sky TV package which will enable you to view and record programmes?
Do you also want Sky to supply your Broadband and Phone?
You might be able to get cheaper deals elsewhere but if you only want Sky to supply everything I would try and sort it out before you move in because new customers rarely get better deals with Sky than ongoing customers who are prepared to haggle with them.0 -
Been with sky 18 years. Was paying around £28 last year with Box sets and movies. After handing in my cancellation notice got the following deal on sky.com/mydeal. Note this is for standard HD box not Sky Q.
Entertainment Pack £13
Cinema £9
Kids £1
HD £1
Total £24/month (12 months) + one off £10 admin fee
Did this actually go through for you? I've done the same, put in notice request + then placed order online, I was previously getting a "your order has been received" notice, but now I'm getting the options to place order again + haven't had email confirmation.Could do with winning something.. Haven't won anything since Aug '09!0 -
My family have been with Sky for 20 years according to the impressed retentions guy I spoke to earlier. Had to change the account details as my father died recently... Wanted to try and get the best possible deal for my mum going forward as well while I was at it.
Currently paying £135 a month for all TV packages with some multiroom, broadband and phone package.
The best deal he said they could do was to knock it down to £102.50 a month which didn't seem that good of an offer to me.
What's everyone else's recent experience? I'm going to call again tomorrow. Can I expect anything better than that?
Any comments or advice would be gratefully appreciated.0 -
@Rustmonster, Wow, I didn't think it was actually pay that much for Sky.
You need to find out what exactly your mother watches first and then find out what new customers would be paying, that would be a starting point.
For the phone/BB use the link at the top of this page, put your postcode in and see what's available and equivalent to what she has already (presuming she does need what she's paying for.)0
