How long have people typically waited for a deal after cancelling?
I've been a Sky customer for 5 years. I have TV, incl, Sport & Movies, Broadband and Phone. Monthly cost is approx £90. I don't usually haggle much, sometimes get 6 months discount on part of it.
I phoned up and cancelled on 1st Nov. I wasn't really offered much on the phone, more of an upsell for no extra cost. My service is due to finish on 1st Dec and I'm yet to hear anything.
Have most people received an offer via MySky?
I've currently got 3 different offers from Sky, depending where I look :rotfl:(this is tv only)
1)My Sky - 50% off, 12 month contract
2)Sky app - 60% off 12 month contract
3) Sky+ box (Services>My Account) 60% off, no contractSave0 -
My Sky went off a week ago and looking on google for comeback to sky i managed to get 75% off and £100 credit. Basically i am having Sky TV for free for 10 months on a 12 month contract. Have a look to see if that is still available.0

I had my Humax box out, having been switched off by Sky, but had to order a new HDMI cable. Just as the cable arrived , the offer you mention cropped up and it would have been silly not to take it. (I have Cinema and Boxed sets with HD, for less than I was paying for Original.)0 -
I cancelled via telephone 2 days ago, immediately after i had a 50% off for 12 months on the sky services app.
If i phoned them up and said i have a 60% offer, would they know? i.e. can they see what offers have been given to me via whatever method (app, sky box or my sky?)0 -
I can`t say for certain but what I can say is I did that very thing last year. Was offered 50% but when I got through I said it was 60%, no problem at all. Some of us were offered 60% very briefly (reply within 3 days), but some said they were told it was an error, when they applied and that the offer was only 50%.
Waiting to go off for a while has resulted in 75% off and £100 credit for me. I had to 'remind' the man that there was credit to add and he gave the impression of reading my account and commented that it was because I had been with Sky for a few years before leaving. (True or false ? Who knows?)0 -
Currently on a 50% deal for whole package inc box sets and sports cinema and 1 multiscreen for 46 pounds a month, rolling contract.
Gave notice to cancel on the 19 November, thought I'd chance my arm at a 75% off.
Any ways after talks to 2 advisors today
Got the same package at 60% off and the multiscreen at 50% off, so I'll be paying 38 a month and got a 50 pounds credit...
So a event savings for about 45 mins on the webchat0 -
Hi all
So i cancelled with Sky on 9th November, and as yet have heard nothing from them.
Is there a period of time i should wait before contacting them?
I'm fearful of getting to 9th December and losing everything on my planner.
Does anyone have any advice at all?0 -

Dazza, did you find that the webchat worked to get you what you wanted?
I always think they are on a script on there really.0
