Just to let you know that it's a waste of time sending your intention of leaving via the above email address as they just respond with a standard cut and paste stating they cannot deal with it.
I have posted my letter this morning recorded.
I will keep this thread upto date.

I received my PAC code today which was as a result of posting on the Official Vodafone Complaints thread on this site so I would recommend you all to do that if you don't receive a reply from Vodafone!!0

I sent in letters for myself and my husband last Tuesday and today (weds) 8 days later he has received a text with PAC code and I've yet to receive mine.0

I rang up today to get an update after I sent them a letter (recorded delivery) and was told it would take 8 to 10 weeks for them to reply!!

That is certainly not the case for everybody, please don't assume that. Don't let them fob you off like that.
I received a response within 20 minutes saying to open up a dialogue with a member of staff on Live Chat. The member of staff confirmed I was eligible and was issued an unlock code straight away. Two days passed without receiving my PAC so called them up, Vodafone tried the old bull about cancellation fees. Told them nonsense I'm one of the customers affected by the price increase and they immediately obliged.
If they state you must send a letter, it's worth a punt to say you don't have access to a printer, ink cartridges, copier paper, envelopes or stamps. It would cost me considerable money to do all that. Chances are I won't be able to claim those costs back from Vodafone anyway. I refuse to let them cost me anymore money.
In the "Disqus" thread about this issue, I stated that in the year 2016 it is truly a digital era and attempting to force customers to physically write or type in to a snail mail address is unacceptable and well behind the curve. Especially for a company of Vodafone's size.
The fact that Vodafone are saying that it is taking up to eight to ten weeks to respond to people shows that they can't cope with this method anyway.
Vodafone are well versed in the sorcery of fobbing people off, so don't take no for an answer and apply "gentle pressure" if needed. By all means send the letter by post as well if you have the facilities, but at least they have received a secondary copy immediately via email too.0 -
I got the text saying i could leave without charge, went onto live chat to confirm with someone that i could indeed leave and not be charged and saved the transcript.
posted the letter and was cut off within a few days.
got myself a new sim only contract and now 3 weeks later they have put a charge on my bill for £399!!!
Called to deal with it and was put on hold for 30 minutes before giving up, called again and spoke to someone who could not understand the concept of leaving without an early exit charge, i asked to speak to someone else or a manager and was just told they would say the same thing.
resorted to the live chat where i spoke to someone who said "The issue has been escalated to the manager and it will be sorted for you "0 -
Dream on. That's standard rubbish for "you'll never hear from us again" - apart from chasing the debt as if your conversations never happened.0

Hi Binil,
I have Emailed the information back to you as requested.
Kind Regards0 -
For what it's worth - I sent notification by post towards the end of June and received a PAC within a week. However I'm having difficulty in making my final payment to Vodafone: my online Vodafone account will no longer allow me to pay, and it seems to be impossible to get through to Vodafone by phone unless you actually have a phone number which is still active on Vodafone.0

Did you call using 191 or the full number as you would calling from another line (can't remember off the top of my head)? Sometimes you're asked to enter your number through the automated system but I think if you keep pressing star or hash it will either take you to either the main menu or directly to a customer service agent.0
