I received a text on 16th June with the link saying I could leave. I posted my 1st letter to them on the 17th June and have since posted another one. I am yet to hear anything from them and their live chat/customer services team have said there is nothing they can do. Has anyone successfully had their contract cancelled and if so did they do anything other than sending the letter?0

Hi jez Jones. I also sent my letter about the same time as you and as stated received the pac code text last week.. which said pac code would expire end July. I gave them a call yesterday to confirm and she said now in 30 day notice period, and therefore next payment will be a part and final payment..
Asked her to send a text to confirm all of this and received a few minutes later. so pretty chuffed in the end.. 7 month old note 4 contract cancelled which was 25%off to begin with..

My other half had the text a few weeks back so exercised the option to leave as the signal is pretty poor round here anyway...
She received a letter the weekend saying they'd accept her request to leave and will be disconnected on 24th July but it does say that she will need to pay all future line rental charges up to the contract end date and that the charges will be added to the bill so next bill could be higher than usual
They way they've worded it is confusing me though.. I don't know whether they mean all future payments owed between now and the cut off day or now and when the contract was supposed to end which is December this year...
If anyone could shine any light on this I'd be much appreciative
Thanks

Hi Matt
The toriginal text message linked to a Web page that stated that there would be no charge for cancelling contract.. I'd get that cleared up with them before getting charged the remainder of your contract....
They stated to me no further charge and I have over a year left...and have this in a text message from them.

myself and my wife received a text message on the 15th June to advise each of us that due to the changes in out of bundle charges above the RPI that we had a right to cancel my contract.
we both wrote to Vodafone (using the address in the link on our text message) on the 28th of June to advise them that we wish to exercise this right and we haven't heard anything back.
I know the letters have been received as we sent them next day signed for. when will we be contacted by the connection team.
kind regards.0 -

I went on to the vodafone live chat this morning and questioned one of the reps.. He said that there will be one more bill payment next week which is monthly then she will get charged for her usage between then and the cut off day so nothing to worry about.0 -
Hi Sutcliffe
It looks like you sent your letters a little later than me so may be a few more days until you get your PAC code text - worth a call to them though..
Started receiving phone calls to stay now - not bad deals:
1) £9 per month 12m sim only 5GB with 1000mins
2) £29 per month iphone 6 64GB no upfront 4GB, unl mins
Looks like they can offer 30% off +, so worth haggling if you want to stay on voda and drop your monthly dramatically or take a new phone and sell your old.
Not sure what to do - be money saving or be material and go for an iphone, and sell my note for for an ipad :0 -
Thanks for your help axelson99 just been in touch with Vodafone and they have said it can take 7-14 days to receive feedback due to the amount of letters they are receiving.0

Please see my previous post. You can send a letter via email to consumer@help.vodafone.co.uk. Make sure your letter to them is formal enough and includes the reason for you cancelling, your personal details and your request for a PAC/Unlock code.
