Now having been cut off in mid-flow by somebody from Vodafone, I've been sent a text asking whether on the strength of that last communication I would recommend Vodafone to anybody else...
My guess, looking at the 55 seconds, is that this was somebody from retentions and they were expected to make a sale if they stayed on the phone for more than a minute?0 -
You can send a letter via email to consumer@help.vodafone.co.uk. Make sure your letter to them is formal enough and includes the reason for you cancelling, your personal details and your request for a PAC/Unlock code. (If applicable).0

I've had the text message to confirm that I'm eligible to terminate my contract free of charge, I'm currently 9 months into my contract and due to the likely increase in my monthly bill (mostly due to going over data allowance) I have been searching for alternative providers and I'd be looking to get a better deal elsewhere.
My only concern is, would having my contract terminated early affect my credit score in any way?0 -
Er...... No.0

I guess if you were over-enthuiastic about cancelling your direct debit and forgot to pay your final bill to Vodafone... But then your credit rating would suffer because you were careless, not because you'd terminated a Vodafone contract early0

Does anyone have a sample letter than they sent? I don't know where to start with writing one.

Dear Vodafone,
I am writing to terminate my mobile contract with Vodafone as per your terms and conditions and recent text. I wish to exercise my right to terminate the contract with you penalty free as the price increases on the 23rd July will be of material detriment to me.
Additional info:
Request PAC, unlock phone
I look forward to your response.

I had this text. My contract term of 24 months is up around September this year sometime.
If I do this, will they take my handset back or is it mine to keep?0 -
Say Cheese. As long as you are out of the first six months of the contract you will be able to keep the handset. As you say your 24 months contract ends in September I don't see an issue with that.0

Just received my PAC code after I sent them a letter shortly after receiving the text message. It does state my PAC codes expires on 30/7/16 and I'll be automatically disconnected. They say sorry to see me go blah blah blah, no doubt I'm going to have to call them to find out exact date and be reassured...
good that its worked though - happy days new contract half way through old...0 -
Thanks for the info. I will be writing to them this weekend then and getting a PAC code.
Can anyone recommend a 30 day rolling Sim Only with as much data (at least 7Gb a month) as possible as well as unlimited minutes and texts?
Currently looking at O2, 8Gb Unlimited Mins & Texts for £30 a month.0
