I had the same problem of not passing their credit check. I signup a 14 days trail on credit check plus just to see my credit report. I have a score of 645/999 which is qualified as "very high rating". I have not failed any of my credit checks in my whole life.
I don't know what is wrong with ID mobile but I guess I won't be able to get a sim from them.
Is there anyone here who has successfully applied a sim card from them? Please share your experience.0 -

I signed up a couple of months ago and got it straight away
They take 10p out of you credit debit card and then put it back to make sure you have an account.
I once got refused by O2 a long time ago when if you remember when THE LINK SHOP was about it was owned by Dixons that's how long ago it was anyway i was told to leave applying for any sort of credit for 6mths and try again it worked and i got the contract and still have the same number on O2 payg not my main number now. ( never had any trouble since that one)
Sometimes its nothing to do with your credit rateing it could just be your name don't fit.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
I ordered a new Sony Xperia Compact on Friday (26th Feb) and everything was good from this point until about an hour ago!
I received my hour delivery slot and DPD delivered in the time frame as promised, great. The problems started as soon as I opened the packaging. I noticed that the phone box was scratched, scuffed and dented (down to delivery I thought) I then noticed that the box wasn't sealed... and from my experience, mobile phones always come with security sealed stickers. I opened up the box and straight away noticed the boxing on the inside was torn, the sleeve on the phone wasn't sealed and the phone was covered in finger prints. So iD basically sent me a used phone!
Straight away I called their 'customer service' line. After 3 minutes of automated rubbish I was put on hold for around 5 minutes. I had to tell the woman twice what was wrong, she then put me on hold and came back to tell me that 'You will need to send the contract back, explaining why, and then we will CANCEL the contract and you will have to reorder it...'. I honestly thought she was joking, but no. They refuse to send a replacement and expect me to foot the return postage cost and go through all the credit checks again to have a replacement sent. Knowing my luck I would have the same phone sent to me again!
As you can imagine there is no way I'm staying with them now.:rotfl:0 -
we are losing the will to live. Having found an online deal with ID that Carphone Warehouse said was unbeatbale. ordered 10 days ago and within an hour got an email saying we had been refused credit. numerous phone calls to Experian etc it emerged that no credit checks had taken place. ordered again a week ago and still waiting confirmation. Numerous calls and emails have yet to clarify where the order is.lots of excuses given including stock availability. transferred all over the world. Now trying to complain using the number for complaints online and have yet to speak to complaints. Now being passed to a manager who has said she does not have access to the system or sales team ...... promise of another call later ........ apparently customer service can't speak to sales or access their system. Beware!!!!!
Carphone warehouse if you are reading this thread your reputation is going down the pan!!0 -
Order cancelled. totally kafkaesqe communication with assorted people contradicting and not communicating with each other or us. Not willing to risk taking out a contract with such a dishonest company.0

Hi,
I've been on a 30 day rolling plan with ID mobile for a few months. I'd like to move onto a different plan, and given that it's a 30 day contract I thought this would be easy.
However I couldn't find any info on the ID mobile web site about how to change plans, so I emailed them. They have just replied, and said they do not offer any ability to switch plans at all
They say the only way I can change plan is to apply as a new customer via their web site. However I don't want to do this as I want to keep my number, and I believe you can't port a number to and from the same network.
This seems madness, so just wanted to check with people on here, have I been given duff info by a hopeless helpdesk person, or is it really the case that I can't switch plan with them?
Many thanks.0 -
If they have a Facebook or twitter account ?
Ask them via 1 of them options.
Or just port it out and back again as Tadley suggested.0 -
Port the number to a different PAYG network and then port back again.0

I've seen it reported a number of times in the past, their useless systems don't have the facility to change price plan, you really do need to terminate and reapply.
As said, port to a PAYG sim elsewhere, apply for a new contract with them and then port back to the new contract.====0 -
OK thanks for the advice everyone. I really thought they'd given me duff information,l as I've never come across a network where you can't change your plan!
I'm aware you can port out to a PAYG SIM, and then port back, but it really doesn't seem worth the hassle. I was looking to switch as their tariffs have changed since I took the SIM out, and it's now £2 per month cheaper for the same plan.
Not worth the inconvenience of porting out and back just for that though. Thanks for taking the time to reply everyone.0
