I was considering moving over to iD for a good deal and they just piggy back the Three network.

But o'course the issue that seems to be here is that iD are just repeating what another company tells them (Three), just acting as a middle man on sales, on info, on porting, everything.

Too many horror stories here makes me think I shouldn't bother switching even to save a tenner. I have zero problems on EE and I might just be opening a bag of worms...

They have been fine in my experience.

Short delay in porting in but moving from Vodafone so could be their fault. Only other quirk is that their warning messages don't recognise their double data.

EE aren't the best to deal with in any case.

I'm slightly glad that I'm not the only person who has failed a credit check but to add insult to injury, iD mobile refused me credit of a whopping £10 per month. What is going on! I have a small student loan and an overdraft facility of £400 on my current account that I hardly use. That's it!

If it's a contract it's not £10 a month. It's a blank chequebook to exceed the allowance that you've paid for.

    Try Tesco Mobile Sim only.
Not quite as cheap as iD though.

iD Mobile's credit check's are processed by Experian, Experian will then send us the credit check result (Accept / Decline).
    No they don't.

In a CPW store, the data is entered onto PIE, which parses the customer-specific info, sends this to Experian's SureID system, which matches the customer data, returns the raw credit file data back to an internal system running over at H3G UK Ltd, which does the credit decisioning, and returns this result to PIE for the sales consultant to relay verbally to the customer.

I have a 12month contract coming to an end next month. I want to change to ID monthly sim only.

Id have told me I need to port my number out of the contract to a payg, then back onto iD monthly sim.

Do they actually want to keep my business?!

Just move to another network, far easier.

Had very bad experiences with EE and O2. Life mobile tariff is good, but runs on EE.

Id tariff of £5 is exactly what I want unfortunately so I need to go through their process. Far harder than it needs to be.
