Id tariff of £5 is exactly what I want unfortunately so I need to go through their process. Far harder than it needs to be.
ID runs on Three, which now owns O2.
EE is now owned by BT, do you have BT broadband?0 -
Since you are from the future, can I have the Euromillions numbers for next week?ID runs on Three, which now owns O2.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Three doesn't own O2 they have only put a bid in for it but it looks like they won't get it if The Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) have anything to say about it they are trying to stop it going though saying its bad for competition.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Hi
Last week ordered two sim-only cards from ID mobile, looking for a place to migrate from Three.
Placed it as one order in the same time. And here is the result:
Order ending with 0 has been allegedly declined:Unfortunately you didn?t meet the credit check criteria required for the contract you requested
And then... delivered.
Order ending with 8 was not delivered and then... cancelled.
For clarification:
- I have absolutely no problem with credit rating
- I already have one sim-only account at ID Mobile for few months, no problems whatsoever, all bills paid on time (DD) etc.
- both orders were for sim-only, : £5/month each
So... I'm good enough to have credit cards, two sims £5/month but not three.
There probably will be more fun, as if they really declined one of the orders, I will cancel another - I want two sims or nothing.
Can't be partially good for them, partially not.
How they can run such business having such extreme mess?0 -
Unless I've missed something, the logic is pretty simple. All networks have restrictions on the number of contracts one person can have. And £5 p.m. is meaningless as it determines the allowances, not the actual spending.0

3 sims on one account is not too much - you know, some have families...
And - please take a closer look - my second order has been declined and then third delivered...0 -
Did they let you have 2 sims with 1 email address?
I had to use a different email address for each one. Then the third sim I ordered failed the credit check, not really sure why. I think they make it up as they go along.0 -
iD in general is owned by CPW, who's been greedy and successful, launched iD as a second time milking to (I think LifeM) semi-successful brand, very successful sale...
I have pulled friend of mine with my attitude and near swearing from a trap deal, they have sold to him for 2 years, offered "solution" the £10 monthly deal, without phone- at CPW, they couldn't do it, what they offer is on-line... felt a bit for the kids, but shambles- they are!0 -
Just had final conversation with ID and one of the orders has been indeed cancelled and one accepted.
This is because of some undisclosed limits they have per account and credit checks. Now time for my guess - because my credit score is absolutely fine and they don't allowing orders with more than one contract in basket it's clearly some totally stupid limitation in their set-up related to Direct Debits and credit checks.
Whatever it is, I just cancelled the accepted order and will go somewhere else.
If you have family - ID is not for you.0 -
The fact that you have done those credit checks and now approach another network and do some more, may mean they flat out refuse to sell you anything at all.0
