iD Mobile Network - Any Good?

The clue is the child is watching iPlayer, or other media services. Unless this is on a wireless network connected at home, you will find these services expensive. As you are bon a tariff that gives 500 Mb, this is not sufficient for the use, and hence they added an extra 500 Mb. My service EE emails me when near its monthly limit, then restricts further usage. The phone also does this.
Solution
Move to a capped service, though I have no idea whether you provider does this.
Or, as I have done, put the trinket on ebay to pay for the bill and get her a PAYG. That way DD can spend as much as she has!0 -
The child watched iplayer in November (AND THAT IS NO WHAT I AM QUESTIONING!)..
- I cited that as an example to state that the contract price is not capped
We are no longer in November...
Not on the capped contract, tried to move in Nov and they refused!
They have never contacted me over my usage, they stated to me that it was impossible for them to do this (They limit this to their other contract model).0 -
I keep wanting to shoot myself for going with these guys, but live and learn I guess.
I just checked my bank statement and there's a charge for £94.50, They say I have used data outside of my allowance of about 911.11 MB. 1562 mb in total.
The charge was data usage on one single day and my phone reports usage for that day of, well 0. The whole month of April the usage as recorded by the phone is 4.73 meg.
The bill itself is super confusing when you start to dig into it.
It says total usage was 1562, allowance was 500, allowance rolled over from last month was 312, and I was billed for 911.11.
I don't claim to be a math wiz, but...
1562-500-312 = 750 and not 911.11
And again, usage of 1562 would be 330 times what my phone recorded.
So I go back to the accounts page and look at this month.
It says that I have 500 meg allowance plus another 500 meg added (I have not added anything) for a total of 1 gig. It then states I have used 1 gig, AND that my bill next month will be £94.50.
So they seem to be suggesting that I used exactly 911.11 meg OVER my limit once again.
Before someone suggest that the bills are capped at £94.50, they are not. iD network refused to add a cap to this for me (daughters phone) stating that they can't do it. The 2nt month she had the phone the internet was off but she watched iplayer for a few hours and needless to say that the bill was well in excess of what it is showing currently.
The May usage on the phone shows 81.69 meg used.
So short of the phone using data and not recording it, I can only guess that iD network is making a huge mistake in recording data usage. Truth be told, the daughter leaves the data turned off unless she wants to send a message over some app, she'll turn it on, send the message/whatever and then turn the data back off.
I have tried contacting these people in the past and really drove myself crazy. Any tips/hints on who or what I should ask for in regards to this problem? I'll make the phone call some time tomorrow, but some guidance before I chase this would be nice. The child watched iplayer in November (AND THAT IS NO WHAT I AM QUESTIONING!)..

I have used mobile phones for s number of years, and so have other members of my family.

Okay, I bit earlier and I shouldn't have.
Your Obviously trolling now.
I Specifically stated I am talking about April and May, so for you to harp on about November then the troll is obvious.0 -

Did you call? What happens if you push this button?0 -
Yes, they told me my contract states I need to pay for overages and there is nothing they can do. I argued with them for a while stating that I dispute the overages occurred due to my phone showing less than 5 meg one month and then less than 82 meg the next month. They eventually said they would investigate it and get back to me.0

Sorry for the bump, bit this happened to my partner, too. Nothing bad on the credit history whatsoever and it was for a 30 day contract which is £7/month. Seems ridiculous.0

They're totally unprofessional.
I have one SIM, gone through credit check without any problems, paid all bills for few months. Ordered another two, first sim refused allegedly because failed credit check. Then they delivered third one.
This appears now as a polite warning - stay well away.
Which is exactly what I'm planning to do - cancelled delivered SIM on delivery.0 -
Life refused me on a credit check, giffgaff just sent me a sim to load. If a company is going to put up pointless walls to prevent you from buying their product imagine how bad they are going to be when you actually get it.0
