Seen an ad in the Metro about a good deal for extra data.

Is this network any good? A bit worried in case Carphone Warehouse goes in the same direction as Phones4u.

Just had a year with them, no problems apart from you can't turn off voicemail. Three also have a few sim only offers at the moment.

Has anyone tried out iD mobile network?

They have some pretty good deals but I'm a bit weary of signing up to Carphone Warehouse after what happened with Phones4u.

Sign up for one month at a time then.

It's operates on the Three network so look at other offers that Three have if you want a big name.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Partner went with Giffgaff in the end. No issues and no stupid failed credit !!!!!!!! on a £7.5/month 30 day rolling contract.
  • I got one of their deals for my daughter to use, all good so far and £5 a month for 250 mins, 5000 text and 1.5gb data is great for what she needs.
30 day rolling contract so can cancel any time if we encounter any problems in the future.

I have a 30 day rolling contract and so far no problems. On 3 so the coverage is as you'd expect for 3.

I realise CPW was nothing to do with Phones4u but I can see Carphone Warehouse going out of business. Perhaps their mobile division will be bought by another company.

However, this sort of concerns me a bit:
11.23 The Charges payable by you will be subject to an annual adjustment by the Retail Price Index Rate (RPI Rate), which could increase or decrease and will first appear on the May bill following the announcement of the RPI Rate. We will publish the RPI Rate on our Website as soon as it becomes available. If we do this more than once a year and/or by more than the RPI Rate then you will have the right to end this Agreement under Clause 8.5.3.

I wonder if this is like the Virgin Mobile clause that says your bill will increase?

Just to add something I forgot earlier - their notifications are as messy and useless as their customer support.

Just for example, last night: "You've now used 100% of your data allowance...."
Checking the app and web panel - over 400MB left...
Having such useful informations every month. Pathetic.

You may as well say that about any network provider O2 are struggling thats why they want to sell will that stop you from getting O2 as well...it can happen to any network thats the chance you take.
As for the prices going up all networks put there prices up and if you look will have near the same terms as Virgin.
