idMobile state this:What calls are included within my monthly allowance of minutes?
Calls to standard UK mobiles and landlines are included within your allowance. Calls to The Channel Islands and The Isle of Man are not included as part of your allowance.
But they don't seem to state the specific numbers that are included. Can anyone share this information. I just want a list of numbers which are included in my allowance. 07 numbers are mobile, what landlines are included etc?
Thanks.0 -
It is an Ofcom and ASA requirement that inclusive deals list what is included and detail significant exclusions.
Inclusive calls are those to:
- geographic numbers starting 01 and 02 (except numbers in Jersey 01534, Guernsey 01481 and Isle of Man 01624)
- non-geographic numbers starting 03
- mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079 (except numbers in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man - there are dozens of prefixes).
Your provider must also publish details of the call costs for those numbers once the inclusive allowance has been exceeded.
The published details must also include the call price for calling 070 personal numbers and the Access Charge for calling 084, 087, 09 and 118 premium rate numbers.
The tariff details also need to include the cost of "one standard rate message" when sending a text message to a five-digit mobile shortcode.
Some mobile providers are not complying with the regulations. Raise a complaint with Ofcom and ASA otherwise it will never be fixed.
Calls to numbers starting 080 and 116 are free-to-caller as are calls to 105, 111, 112 and 999.
Finally, calls to 101 are 15p per call on all landline and mobile providers, but every police force is required to advertise an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number alongside 101.0 -
Not all 07 numbers are mobile, there are "personal" numbers (070) which will unlikely to be included in an allowance.0

O2 publishes a list of mobile prefixes allocated in Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man.

This list is likely to be very similar, or the same, for other providers.0 -
With iD it appears that you can have a capped contract, so you can still call the odd out of bundle number and limit the cost to £5 per month.
The other replies covered numbers in general, but to check specific numbers, iD mobile don't seem to have a page, but Three have a call cost check web page that will show the same info about which are included in a bundle at:
http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBISAPI.DLL?Command=New,Kb=Mobile,Ts=Mobile,T=OnlinePortlet,varset_cat=callsemails,varset_subcat=3788,Case=obj(4570)
(Hope that odd looking link works).0 -
MSE forum software omits the final needed bracket from the link. This will work:
http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBISAPI.DLL?Command=New,Kb=Mobile,Ts=Mobile,T=OnlinePortlet,varset_cat=callsemails,varset_subcat=3788,Case=obj(4570)
The forum software also added two double spaces in the URL. Now removed.0 -
How do I go about reporting this to Ofcom? I appreciate the lists people have given. I was charged some extra for a call to a company (of a few calls to companies I made that day) I made and I just wanted to know which company it was.0

I am currently trying to resolve a billing issue with iD which has escalated to a complaint.
The contract with iD is for £13.50 and in the few months we have had the contract with iD, we have been billed three times for £88. We canceled the direct debit when we noticed the last bill of £88 and at first did not realise it was iD mobile. So there is an outstanding payment on our account which I will come back to again in a moment.
My wife contacted iD customer services to query this bill and was subjected to an aggressive verbal attack by the iD call handler before being disconnected.
We have sent numerous emails to iD, and private messages to their Facebook page in an attempt to try and get to the bottom of the data charges. Virtually every response from iD results in having to explain everything again to another iD employee who essentially fails to provide any help.
iD customer services will not provide contact details for the complaints department or for a manager to speak to.
They have not, up to this point in time, provided the times relating to the data charges applied to our account. All other details are available to view accept the times when the data was used.
A "Call Limit of £75" has been applied to the account but although it is called "Call Limit" it covers data usage which I find very misleading.
Coming back to the outstanding payment on our account. We have requested this be put on hold until the data charges are investigated, but they are unable to do so, and provide no reasons or further clarification as to why this cant be done. We have since received a threatening letter from iD regarding the outstanding payment.
They will not confirm if the call where my wife was verbally attacked has been listened to. They just respond that it is an "internal" matter.
We are using "Resolver" to try and get the requested info and we have escalated it to ombudsman. I can honestly say I have never dealt with a customer service department so bad and poor in how it communicates with its "Customers".
I am interested to know if anyone else has had poor dealings with iD.
Has anyone else had data charges applied to their bill that are missing the times when viewed via their on-line account?
Has anyone else been mislead by the term "Call Limit"? And is this a form of "mis-selling"?
Any advise about our predicament with iD from fellow MSE members would be appreciated.

I'd be more concerned about my external credit files than the rest. You may have wrecked those for the next six years. Cancelling the direct debit was a big mistake - raise it as part of your complaint but it may not get you very far.0
