iD in general is owned by CPW, who's been greedy and successful, launched iD as a second time milking to (I think LifeM) semi-successful brand, very successful sale...

I have pulled friend of mine with my attitude and near swearing from a trap deal, they have sold to him for 2 years, offered "solution" the £10 monthly deal, without phone- at CPW, they couldn't do it, what they offer is on-line... felt a bit for the kids, but shambles- they are!

Life mobile was never anything to do with Carphonewarehouse life mobile was owed by Phones4u before being bought by EE when p4u went bankrupt.

Been with ID since Jan never had any problems so far 4g signal no different from 3 which it runs off.
Afaik you cannot buy a ID contract from the cpwh shops its all done on the internet.

It was founded in 2003 as a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse and was demerged as a standalone company in March 2010.

I had tested loads of SIMs and networks, as for speed 3 and iD are slower, than EE and their MVNO's

You can, CPW staff selling as what is on their system, what is allowed to them t sell, hence the deal, I found on-line, wasn't available to them... pity for the boys, but shudder- the better ;)

    ShockProof
    Plan iD: SP10-IC874-1
    500 minutes 5000 texts 4GB data 1 month

not there no more, but basically 24 mnth contract on some iffy (£40 worth) phone at £8.50, with 150mins and 300mb data- TRAP...

Not that I am arguing, if deals can be good or bad, just saying iD as most of them, by no means better than others, trying to build structures for grabbing money from punters

The fact that you have done those credit checks and now approach another network and do some more, may mean they flat out refuse to sell you anything at all.

Don't know what credit checks you're talking about

It was an ID check/proof, not a credit search that mobile providers normally do for all contracts. Have you checked your credit files?

CPW don't do a credit check if the application fails their own, which is based on a certain number of contracts within a certain period. I won't bore people by setting out the general list, but the ones they rejected never got as far as an external check.

"Score" is meaningless, and AFAIK they don't provide access to the raw file.
And iD can use a different CRA.

Not that I am saying that they certainly have done a credit search.

Ok, let's assume they DID credit search.
What could possibly led them to conclusion I'm trustworthy enough to pay £10/month but not enough to pay £15/month? Being their customer for 6 months with all bills paid on time.
What possible bad thing in mentioned above raw file they can found which is not affecting overall high score?

Is there anything reasonably justified YOU can possibly think of? Don't answer me, answer yourself.
