Why does good customer service only need to be from the UK?

No, I mean they are all hopeless, the Ofcom Complaints Code of Conduct is ignored mostly, easy enough to do, just tell staff not to lodge complaint contact as a complaint.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • I tried to get the £27.50/month iPhone 6s deal mentioned today by Martin but they turned me down due to the credit check. I can't understand why - my score is 976/999 at Experian and the only negative marks are due to frequent credit account switching between gas and electricity suppliers!

Maybe it's not a real deal? Anyone succeeded?
  • iPhones from CPW lock to the first SIM inserted, so you may be locked to Three for 2 years in this deal. The amount of data in the basic deal is very low, on 4G you can use 1GB in a few minutes!

While the deal might appear around £70 cheaper over 2 years, a lot can happen in two years to both your own circumstances and the Three network. You might be fortunate in having being rejected for the package.

In my opinion, you would be safer to buy a phone outright and take a 30 day SIM deal, that way you can change networks very easily if there is a better deal or if the coverage/capacity drops. There have been many messages on here where customers have been stuck in contracts and regret signing up for long terms. Martin was recommending outright purchase and SIM only in a recent programme.

3 does not provide network locked mobiles since 1st Jan 2014. Only iphones first used with a 3 sim to activate do not lock to 3 unlike other providers.

  • Hi all, I've recently applied to get a SIM only 30-day contract with iD Mobile, but I got a response back saying I didn't meet
the credit check criteria required for the contract I requested. I checked with Experian and I have a perfect credit rating, 999/999, but it didn't have any record on there of me applying for a credit check. I emailed iD Mobile asking for some assistance but got back a very unhelpful response basically fobbing me off with the usual excuses of bad credit history, etc. Does anyone know whether they use a different credit reference company, and if so which one?

  • What if I want 4G? Life is only 3G...

What's the point in a perfect credit rating and what do iD actually check?

there is no such thing as a perfect credit rating , as all companies use different criteria when deciding, maybe the bloke who was doing the application wife had run off to live with a bloke in your town?

There's three Credit Reference Agencies. Perhaps iD Mobile checks one of the other two.

If there's no record of a search the credit check may have failed for another reason: perhaps a data mismatch or there was a technical fault which prevented a credit check being made.
