I'm on Talktalk's All-in SIM deal which gives me unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £12/month. Below is the text from an email that I have just received from them. Is it just me or are they really suggesting that because I don't use my allowance very much they are going to cut it down and charge me the same amount? Perhaps the hackers are still in their systems and sending out this as a laugh?

We’re writing to let you know our introductory All-in SIM will soon be removed from our SIM range. Reviewing the offer over a few months, we saw that most of our customers were using much less data than they were entitled to, and would actually be better off on a different plan. So we’ve made the decision to bring the All-in SIM offer to an end. png.png We know value is important, so based on your usage we have two SIM offers that’ll keep you talking, texting and internetting just like before, for the same or a little less each month. png.pngOption 1 – Large 30 Day SIM If you don’t want to commit to a contract, then this brand new SIM’s for you. It comes with 3GB data, 2,000 minutes and unlimited texts and you’ll stay on a 30-day rolling contract at £12 a month.

If you’d like to swap over to this SIM, you don’t need to do anything – we’ll automatically move you over on 30th December 2015. png.pngOption 2 – Large SIM This SIM will do it all and comes packed with 3GB data, 1,000 minutes and unlimited texts – on a 12 month contract. The cost? Just £10.50 a month compared to the £12 you’ve been paying. png.png You’ll find more about it online at talktalk.co.uk/largesim png.png If you’d like to check your data usage, you can do this now at talktalk.co.uk/mobileusage png.png It’s important to us that you’re still on a SIM package that works well for you. So if you have any questions, please call our dedicated loyalty team on 0870 087 8751.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 were published by BIS on 13 December 2013 and came into force on 13 June 2014.

Regulation 41 requires retailers, traders and passenger transport companies to use 01, 02, 03 or 080 numbers for contact by existing customers.

Regulation 41(2) gives callers the right to a refund of any excess call costs incurred above whatever an equivalent call to an 01, 02 or 03 number would have cost.

    Hi

Im in the same boat, immediately rang talktalk to be advised this is the case indeed!

so annoyed with them, they advised in the advert it stated "limited time only" i said i read that in a different way being sign up now before they stop doing this deal! They love changing the goal posts to suit!

Been hunting for a similar sim only!Closest i can get is giffgaff unlimited calls/texts/4g at 20.00/month(no contract) or bt mobile unlimited calls/texts/20gb 4g data (12 month contract) 25.00/month for non bt custimers or 20.00/month bt customers.

Giffgaff use o2,bt mobile use ee been trying to weigh up the pros and cons for days!

Also unsure if i should hold off till 1st dec to see what freebies talktalk are offering with regards to the mobile sim??

and how does that chocolate teapot work when the company won't play ball? Take them to court for the cost of the phone call? Most people will find their time is worth more than the £1.50 refund you recover after a morning in court.

The government should have made non-compliance an offence and given TS enforcement powers with large fines for contravention. Ask yourself would RipOffs R Us be more worried about being taken to court for £1.50 + costs or a £10k fine per offence?

  • It also looks like they have changed their wording on free customer upgrades today.
Did Say:Unlimited UK landline and mobile calls
Now Says:Unlimited UK landline and mobile calls Sim

I spoke to them about 2 weeks ago and they said the offer of Unlimited UK landline and mobile calls was available.

SARS request to hear the telephone call recording ?

It's a premium rate number, as are all 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers. The premium is the additional Service Charge which TalkTalk waives if you call from a TalkTalk line. If you're calling to report a fault you'll be calling from some other line and will incur the illegal extra charges.
