I have been trying to find a better provider and I decided to give ID a try.
My experience so far has been terrible.
Their web site is just a store front, they have no community/forums, no "chat to me now" support, their email web form requires a valid ID number and the only way to talk to them is during business hours through the phone. It is obvious they have very, very few customer services people.
Their SIM arrived a few days later. The next step was to register my account. It took over an hour using multiple PCs and browsers, and no less than 11 "security" codes that they texted to me... Their texts arrived sporadically, many minutes after I had requested them, and their website kept saying "something went wrong enter the details again".
Then they required the most ridiculous password imaginable, I am sure the Americans and Russians can launch ICBMs with less hassle than it took to set up this password. Most of my banks and credit cards require less strict passwords.
Finally I went past that step and then was greeted with this "Sorry, we could not retrieve your allowances. Please try again later."
The experience therefore has been terrible.
My other SIM is an O2 and I have been getting 4G most everywhere I go. As soon as I started with the ID SIM, I am back to H. I have not taken it out and about to try yet, but with O2 (well giffgaff) I had 4G almost everywhere.
As I am trialling this SIM I have not ported my number yet, and lucky too, judging by how they can mess things up and end up giving my number to someone else!
On the plus side they allow tablets and tethering even though their CS told me that it is "random" and not really allowed...0 -
I'm sorry to hear that, OP. After reading your post, I agreed with indesisiv - that it's hit and miss. But then reading all the other posts after that ...
I was seriously considering iD. Think I'll give them a miss now! Thanks for sharing feedback, guys.0 -
Thanks for those who have posted their experiences, I was also considering ID but being that customer service is a huge deal breaker for me, I wont be going any further than looking!0
