Not sure it's a wind up, the OP has a lot of posts.

But it has been a waste of time as the OP had no intention of taking any advice that didn't agree with her 'I'm attracted to this work colleague, I want to be his friend, I want to invite him to my house but only when my husband has had the 'decency' to !!!!!! off out of the way' attitude.

This is absolutely not true. At work I am the only woman in a team of 6, and in the wider team of 30 or so there are only 3 women. A number of my male colleagues are good friends, and there is absolutely no physical attraction on either side.
