Hugs apple. ccltry to look after yourself. Sometimes you have to settle for the 'least worst' option (until we can get ourselves cloned).
A SFD.
Quite relaxing - had to take pain killers as tensing against the aches and pains hurt. Spent the morning in bed reading but have done lots of washing and some tidying (as long as it didn't involve bending down). Bins out (made DS3 do the area around his chair/ table).
Plotting to get rid of things - it's that can't afford to get rid/ replace and then when you are a little better off you notice how shabby some of your things are. A plodding day but doing a bit is better than doing nothing.
What made me happy - reading, resting, getting washing dry outside (and bringing it in as the first raindrops fell). Found a couple of embroidery patterns I have been looking for - a wedding sampler with a large heart shape and some chubby rounded letters. I need a larger heart and more even letters but these give me a starting point.
Kind deed - sympathised with the man next door over his dog misbehaving.
Frugal tip - was pondering this morning and was half way to something profound but will settle for 'thinking ahead'. Not in a big planning ahead way but little ten minute things that can put you ahead of the game. making an extra sandwich (or two) and freezing the extras (was thinking what I could have done to avoid the takeaway yesterday). I often used to peg washing out in the dark. On a day like today that would have been dry before I woke up. When i was putting my clothes away today I was glad I had folded the t shirts into the basket and could put them all straight into the drawer.

I was on here anyway and I suddenly thought that a good frugal tip is being effective with leftovers. It has taken me a long time to get better at this one but, if you make a lasagne and have 2 portions spare if they arent going to work with you or your partner the next day put them in a container and freeze them immediately. Dont leave them sat in the fridge for a week and then bin them!
This tip will save you ££ in the long run." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hello,
apple I hope your health improves soon.
Will need to start a gardening diary this year so I don't make the same mistakes next year and waste seeds and time. Especially in regards to when get things out in the cold, what plants the slugs don't like etc.

Afternoon everyone!
Raining here which is depressing.
What has made me happy?
Exercising. Healthy body, healthy mind.
One thing I done for someone else?
I paid for my friend into our gym class last night and I purchased a birthday present for my friend today also.
Frugal tip?
Switch banks! I just got my £150 incentive from First Direct for switching. Easy peasy!0 -
Hi everyone
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. Theme for this week for me is just about survival. I'm stupidly busy at work and at home so very little spare time for anything anywhere at the moment. I'm quite run down so trying to do the bare minimum to get through. It's the first chemistry exam tomorrow so my nerves are starting to kick in.
Apple - I hope you're feeling better really soon.
Thrifty - Yay to the new phone! :j
So, what has made me happy? The kids finally chipping in and helping me to get stuff done round the house.
My kind act - staying at work until after 5pm to help one very stressed student out.
Frugal - find out when your local supermarkets do their reductions. No bargain like a YS bargain!
Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm always ok in the end - just need a rest. Not giving up

Something that made me happy today. DS got a love letter from a little girl in his class. Bless her. He then wanted to wait for her after school and give her a chocolate bar in exchange but at the last minute he bottled it. It was so funny. Young love" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Happy today - a friend paid me a 'sick visit' and brought along some yummy biscuits.
Kind - taking neighbour's dd to cheer for her.
Frugal - eating simple food. Lunch was the other half from yesterday: tin of tuna, cottage cheese and aldee coleslaw all mixed together. That may not sound v appetising, but I assure you that it was yummy!
Thank you for all the well wishes xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Still tired though not aching so much. Desperate to motivate myself to do something, I have counted nearly 200 things put away/ relocated/ binned/ found a space. About 60 in DS3's room, two big loads of wood into the 'wood store' - stopped the first time when I started going dizzy from the repeated bend and forwards movement. Lots of washing done.
What made me happy - getting things done when I really wasn't feeling like it.
Kind to other people - DS3 has said he will help me tomorrow and I'm choosing top believe him.
Frugal. Still haven't bought more clothes pegs. I have saved all the ones I have found over the past few weeks (fallen between or behind pots or trodden into the soil), left them soaking to loosen embedded soil and have washed them in the machine today. A few have not survived but have an extra 15 or so, good as new.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Morning all,
Busy day yesterday and just needed my bed when I got in.
Good luck for the chemistry exam today ccl. Have you seen all the issues about the biology one? It even made it to the daily mail! Actually nothing wrong with the questions, just a different way of asking for the same information, in some cases but still plenty of recall.
Today should be a SFD, I'm up nice and early so off to work to try and cram in some more of the extra planning that needs doing in time for next year. It might seem a long way away but September is now just around the corner as far as I'm concerned :rotfl:LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Quick check-in for yesterday as didn't get a chance, it was a NSD
which takes me up to 8. Happy - I found out the start date for my SVQ3, I'm currently on the unqualified pay rate for my role so its the first step towards a pay rise
. Kind - making tea for OH last night, we had YS burgers, wedges and HM coleslaw. No frugal tips for yesterday.
Today I need to buy washing up liquid, eggs and milk. I also need to really get a move on with a wedding present for my sister and her future hubby (the wedding is 16 days away!) so I thought I'd have a look after work since its late night shopping.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77
