Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
calling you are doing really well. It's just about keeping going isn't it. Even if it's £1 it's worth it. That's the way I'm looking at it. It will be gone if we just keep going.

    Hello,

I signed up to this challenge and then promptly ignored doing any of it so far! I have spent too much money during kids Easter hols and my son's birthday and I am now going to struggle to get through the rest of the month! So I figured that I better get started and focus on planning how I will get through the rest of the month.

I am going to sit down with the hubby over the next couple of days and get our budgets worked out. I now won't be able to manage 20 SFDs but I am going to try and aim for 15. I am also going to put some things on e-bay to see if I can make some extra money.

I have been keeping some of the health challenges in mind, I went to the gym to do a 30 minute circuit 5x last week and did a couple of walks on top of that. I went to the gym yesterday, won't get anything done tonight but I'll plan to fit in exercise every day for the rest of the week. I aim to lose 7lbs this month, I've lost 2lbs so far but I suspect I may have put this back on over the last few days. I get weighed at weightwatchers on a Thursday evening (I am a helper so getting classes for free). My eating habits are always something I need to work on, trying to do it in small steps.

As for check-ups, I went to the doctors while I was on annual leave last week for a couple of things that have been bothering me. Turns out that I was diagnosed with asthma in 2013 but I didn't know it! I remember being tried on inhalers and had some other tests etc and was eventually told to come off the inhalers so I hadn't realised that I had actually been diagnosed with it. Anyway, turns out issues that I have been having with my breathing since having a flu virus is asthma so getting that treated. Now that I know this, other symptoms I have been having over quite some time make more sense now. So thanks for the encouragement with going for check ups.

I had a dentist appointment already booked for next month, my optician check-up isn't due till next year and I keep up with dietitian appointments. I do need to book an appointment with the foot clinic for more insoles and an appointment with another doctor to discuss changing contraception so I'll try to get those appoinments booked this month too.

I could really do with pampering/looking after my myself better. I am fairly good at keeping my mind active as I enjoy reading and crafts but sometimes opt to slouch in front of the TV instead.

I was just looking at the Week 2 Challenge.I'll need to have a think about the finances section and a good long think about what's important to me at this point in my life. I'll check in later with my 2 happy things for today.

    Evening Ninjas
Busy day at school - rushed off my feet from 6am until about half an hour ago. It's been ok, although I had a really shaky half hour with one of my year 10 classes before lunch. Still, I'm over it now. Thankfully it's a fairly rare event that I have much of a behaviour problem so I'm hoping it was a one off. I certainly couldn't manage with too many of those.
Low spend day today - had to pop to Mr S on the way home from work as we were out of milk and yoghurt, which are both essential items in our house. Other than that though, nothing. Even though I had to settle for rice pudding for lunch because I'd forgotten to get anything else out of the freezer. :p
Things that have made my day better today:
    1. The Head arriving to actually help me when I called and asked for help with Year 10.
    2. Being finished for the day before 8pm so I can relax and get an early night.
I'm already thinking about May's challenge :D I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I want to make it good for you all...

    SFDs yesterday and today.

    But I ate the cheesecake.:o

Today I am grateful for being able to wash my hair (also cleaned the bathroom, both overdue jobs but ran out of steam after that).
That filing is the worst of my problems at the moment.
That today was a more positive day than the last three.

    Things that made me happy
watching a small boy 'hiding' from his mother on the Town Hall square by moving from one large planter to the next and round the sides (think she knew he was there but was playing along)
making 'salads' from the things I have - run out of 'leaves' so made coleslaw base (with low fat dressing not mayo), rice salad (eaten hot with the veg curry from the freezer) and bean salad (because I only needed part of a tin in the rice salad.

I will just keep plodding for now (may go to the doctor's). If I just do a few things a day. (There is actually much more filing inside the two file boxes than out)
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

498louise great to see you back. School hols are hard going especially when the weather isn't great.
Glad you sorted your health issues out. Weight think I may have put 2lb on I lost from last week as well, pigged out again today on large bag of crisps and blackberry crumble. Exercise not going well might take my own advice and get to the Drs Friday as earache/ chest still causing me problems also after flu bug.
Any ideas how to loose this weight by Thursday ?lol

NSD number 5 :) Now got mambo number 5 running through my head. All together now der der der der der der der.:dance::dance:

Tea was a disaster. Cooked the sausages but the defrosted mash was like slop and running off the plate so we ate the curry I made last night and will do something with the sausages tomorrow.

Not many steps done today as at work and driving for 6 hours.

I have been thinking about my audit as my bills are all sorted and am about to move anyway. Can I count my audit of the cupboards in my house? I also need to do a meter reading.

I have to pick up a prescription tomorrow and some cakes for a meeting but the first is pre paid and the second is a work expense so I should manage another NSD. If I can get to Friday without spending I will be chuffed :D I have £40 cash in my purse and would be double chuffed if I could cover this weekend and all of next week with just this money :D:D I will only need a small food shop as I am away a couple of nights next week and some beer for DH.

    Hi everyone!

Exhausted after a busy day at work so just a quick post to report a spend day as DH has done a small shop to stock up on essentials like bread and milk.

    Good night!

Thanks Calling14. Eek, don't think it's possible to get the weight down between now and Thursday, think I am going to have to suck it up, take the gain and get back to this healthy eating malarchy!
2 things that made me happy today:
    1) going to my FREE sewing group
    2) cuddles with my ds before be, he gives the best cuddles
