    Hi everyone!

    Bob anytime!

SFD 8 today. Very nearly did weekly shop since I am working extra days this week, but decided to make do with what we have in. So tonight was home made pizza and chips (the dough didn't rise very well as the yeast is past its best but still tasted good). Have also thrown together a fridge-bottom concoction which became a sort of veg chilli that I will use for work lunches with jacket potatoes.

A colleague is leaving this week and a farewell lunch has been arranged, so I have put together a couple of pounds towards food (we are buying in to eat in the office so shouldn't cost too much).

Thrifty glad you got the bank issue sorted.
  • I'm back!
Not firing on all cylinders but doing ok. Still a bit tired and groggy from the flu but will push on. Kids uniforms and packed lunches all made. Batch cooking items ready for tomorrow. I'm grateful we can all sit and chat and talk together. Love this family time.

Teehee. An extra £310 in a bank account I rarely use. Now decisions decisions... Over payment on mortgage or cc?! Previously I would have probably saved 40 and spent the rest on frivolous items I would want but didn't need or use. Thanks MSE gang!

Donation made to friend doing charity activity today via gofundme.

On the audit front - I'm going to audit the kids clothes. Have listed a few items on eBay. Quite a few still with tags but never worn. Getting a bag of toys ready for local charity shop also. Having a house full of busy kids means a lot of 'stuff'. Marie Kondo work your magic here please!

Vacuumed house and pulled out the big chest of drawers yesterday. Where does all the fluff and dust come from?! And why do I feel the need to do things like this when I'm not 100%?
    On a mission!

Thrifty lass and gear elephant, my husband was just the same. He had a lot of cc debt but now we are both happily DF (yet he struggled with saving which is most frustrating) Now we have a bills account which just he pays into for now, everything for the kids comes from my account and what's left is for shopping and my bills, and a bit for me. What he is left with in his account pays for shopping he gets and his personal bills.

  • Morning all,

Thought hard about the week ahead and what I might need so visited the supermarket. This should mean that today till Saturday will all be NSD’s!

    2 things I’m grateful for;
    - Life. Many, many people in far worse situations than us fortunate people.
    - My GF. Was having a tough day yesterday and still managed to make me laugh and smile.

    Keep going turtles!

    Hello,

glad I'm not alone with having an OH who isn't on board. However, I have to admit I'm lucky in comparison as mine only has an OD of 2k that he lives in permanently and that's it. The other debt is our joint debt (car, wedding). Our bill splitting works by theoretically me paying the debt and doing the saving (as I'm a bit better at it) and him paying more bills and working his way out of his OD, which obviously didn't work. Well I post some more number once we had a chat.

Today will be a SFD. Will maybe initiate the bank transfer today as I got my friends referral email to do so.

    Healthy lunch and swim today.

    till later

Laughing at all the same husband chat. You do read of these things in The Sun :)

Have paid off £60 today so I am now down to £1400 or 47% of my total.

Such a nice sunny day here. Think everyone has gone to the park as it's quiet on the streets.

There are advantages to being single:D

Bob - wow brilliant debt payments:T - wish that was my total:(
Managed 12 pounds off debt today. Paid 1416 so far this year. By the end of week should reach 31% of this starting debt. Seem to have fallen behind lately, pulling my socks up from now on.

Kept away from shops up to 6/20 SFD:T

Send some sun over here Bob still bit hazy here. I made the mistake of putting my washing out yesterday teatime. It has more than Mothernerd would call another rinse, soaking. My plant pot has a good 3 inches of rainwater in overnight.

    Grateful for

Long hot baths (oops so much for timed showers) I ached all over
Meeting a lovely student on the train home another night, and sharing her chocolate buttons.
