I thought I was going to have to sacrifice my nsd for petrol, but my lovely mummy paid for it for me. She wants me to take some time off work... I think everyone does apart from me and the people I work for :rotfl: I am going to see how I feel tomorrow after a full day of stress there.
Free feed and good chat with my mam - so I am a happy(ish) bunny. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt

I've just managed to read through 3 pages of posts....phew!:)
Yesterday was mad as I only managed to get online for a short time and I think my post didn't register!
Anyway, I had to spend today as its my grandsons birthday and I needed a few bits to stock up on so I thought I would do it all today, to limit my spend days.;)
I had been given £10 for helping a friend out....although I tried to refuse it, I love helping people...however he insisted, so I used that money to put towards my groceries, plus I bought my grandson a pair of trackies and a pack of two long sleeved t-shirts. They were £8 each or 2 for £12 saving £4, so I ended up just paying £2!
My groceries came to £10.29. I bought some Camembert that was YS :T
My sister came up trumps with her weekly stash for me. 1 1/2 chickens and a box of mixed salad,( 3portions).
Also in the bag was load of goodies. She's a gem!:grinheart
This means that I won't have to shop again until the end of the month or even longer!:j
On my 5 mile walk yesterday with my grandson, we came across an elderly lady trying to sweep mud and sticks from her drive. She explained that she couldn't push her frame that steadies her, to her car. I shoveled for her an the lovely lady was almost in tears with gratitude. I would help anyone and isn't a big thing, but her happy face gave me a warm glow.:A
I've been listing some books for sale and also will be doing the same with dvds. Fingers crossed I can then add that to my stash to reduce my debt.:money:Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Hi everyone!
calling sending hugs.
Another spend day for me today, so safe to say I won't be achieving the target this month. I have spent £40 booking a sun holiday. By chance, the week we wanted to go away was on the pay £9.50 pp only offer, with no extra charges.
However, I have managed to move some more money to savings, which will all go to paying off my debt next month, and have passed my stretch target.
Have done some baking with the little ones today and made some giant Jaffa cakes, which turned out rather well. Plan to do some more batch cooking tomorrow.0 -
