Hello turtles!
Sorry for my absence over the last few days but have been working early shifts and seized the opportunity to do overtime when it was offered to me, but as a result have been too knackered to post although I have been logging in daily and reading what you've all been up to!
Dear Bob, wishing you a full and speedy recovery quick-sharpish. I had a "grumbling" appendix when I was younger but when the doctors threatened to remove it it stopped hurting! True story! :rotfl:
Well aren't you all an inspiring bunch?! Well done to everyone for such an impressive start to 2016. :T:T:T
My scores on the doors for my first ever NST challenge month are as follows:
1 20/21 NSD's. I broke in work yesterday and bought a coffee and chocolate bar to cheer up a sad work colleague. Was worth it to see the smile on her face.
2 Thanks to December overtime efforts, using Xmas gift cards for cat food purchases, meeting my stretch target and receiving a surprise Xmas bonus I am extremely pleased to report that I have cleared £1872 of debt this month!!! :T:T:T:T:T No way I can match this for Feb as the bonus and gift cards are seasonal one offs but it has still kick started my motivation none the less.
3 My intention was to become more mindful about my spending habits and clear my debt ASAP, so I think this challenge and you guys has spurred me on. :A
4 I have checked in 95% of the month but not posted every day.
5 I did 2 volunteer shifts at my local homeless shelter at the very beginning of the month.
No monetary donation but gave them 12hrs of my time which is surely worth at least a fiver???? :rotfl:
6 Nights/social events out were all under budget, which allowed me to reassign £50 to the credit card debt. :money:
7 Didn't stick religiously to a meal plan but did only take packed lunches and snacks to work and bought a total of 3 hot drinks in work during the month, as opposed to my usual 2 per day.
8&9 Made £6.33 from Quidco, £5 high street voucher from old utility company loyalty points, £20 free facial (again from loyalty points) and a free carton of almond milk from my mum. Total made/saved £32.50ish.
10 Checked my credit score using ClearScore, nothing scary to report.
See everyone in the February thread, and thank you Bob for making this one so fabulous!

Thanks Funbrum, I was pleasantly shocked when I sat down and worked it out; any extra money that had freed itself up from other places over the month I've just been making extra payments to the cc without tallying it all up!Everyone is a work in progress. :j
