Think I made 21 nsds this month which is epic. I don't think it's easy to keep track of my nsds. Life gets in the way.

U have all done so well. U r such an inspiration.

    Hi everyone!

Bob thank you for running this months challenge.

Today has been a NSD. DS has been playing rugby again, in the rain, but at least it shows his dedication!

My progress at the end of the month is looking like:

    1. 19 NSDs achieved. A little short of the target, but I think this is the best I have managed with NSDs since starting these challenges a year ago.

    2. I have paid slightly above the minimum payments to my debt this month but am still on track to clear my cc next month, although it will leave me with a balance to clear on my spending card (juggled around to clear the other before 0% ended). My stretch target was to move an additional £100 to savings. I have managed £613.31 :j :j I'm not quite sure how, but am thrilled with this!

    3. As above

    4. I have checked in almost every day.

    5. Payment gone to Wales air ambulance. Unfortunately I haven't won their lottery yet.

    6. Spent £6.50 of the £20 I put aside for activities with the children. This was for food and drink to warm us up at the rugby match we watched for free yesterday.

    7. Did really well following meal plan. Have gone slightly over on the food budget as I counted this weekends shop for the Jan budget instead of Feb. However, being under budget on food and days out brings us almost even. Finishing with food £206.87/£175 and fuel £58.72/£75.

    8. Have done really well with freebies, many of them thanks to mil.

    9. Have made almost £20 from selling old unwanted items. Have also had a productive month with business bookings.

    Overall happy with progress.

See you all over in February! :)

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hey Guys

Sorry to disappear on you all. After 3 day run of severe illness I had my appendix out today.

An unexpected 3 day run of NSD'S is the upside.

See you on Feb at some point.

    Bob

Thanks for running the thread this month and keeping me on the straight and narrow - I managed 22 nsds, quite a bit of wombling and survived the longest month of the year...

Not spent money today (but not achieved target because of all the running around - can't be in 3 different places in a day without using the bus, or taxi if carting too much stuff or just exhausted).

Mostly lazy, have cleared the washing up and the sink side for dirty pots is clear for what feels like the first time in ages. Put another wash load in. have tidied a few hot spots and am eyeing up things that can go in the next clutter clear.

Not sure about my clutter clearing figures. I was trying to do the getting rid of 1 thing on day one, 2 on day 2 etc, which should have meant 496 things left the house during the month. was doing quite well but lost track (estimate over 200 but nearer 200 than 300). However must have cleared thousands of mum's and her partner's.

This has to be one of the things I focus on this year. I have done it before but now I will do it but with a little money to throw at it - I can finish bits of the kitchen that never got done (4 open cupboards that were originally bought for this house were used in the kitchen at the up for sale [sold] house, part of what helped keep the spending on that to under £500). If I can have dedicated shelving so that eg spices and pulses are next to the cooker (but not piled on the windowsill so they fade in the sunlight). Lots I can do myself but being able to spend a little will help. Already have a pile of clothes building up. Not planning to spend a fortune but knowing I can replace things if they need replacing has given me the freedom to 'let go' of all the 'make dos' - the ones where the zip doesn't fasten to the top, the squeeze into, the ones that only work if I add something extra to cover a gap.

I will lose weight. I will eat healthily. I will exercise more. I will buy myself clothes that fit and feel good (not going to go mad, only planned purchase for the next 3 months is socks and maybe knickers - had to throw another pair that let me down). Luckily I was wearing leggings so just slightly uncomfortable - no public humiliation.

I only have a sketchy budget in place atm. I have written a freezer list but it's the old one with deductions for items used (crossed off) last month - think there may be one or two extras tucked in corners. I have enough leftovers and use ups to get through the first week but may want more fruit or veg. Travel is still going to be high for the next couple of weeks.

Most important - need to start doing something for myself. Was going to try for once a week, but may add daily pleasures (probably reading and a hot bath) and would like to do 'an outing' once a month.

Today I am grateful for time spent relaxing, for time to think and for interesting bits to use up.
