FunBrum - saw your comments re subletting and one if our landlords a long time ago was doing exactly that to us only I assume she did pay the rent as we never had any issues.

Mothernerd - please look after yourself. You always seem to be on the go, and looking after other people. And enjoy your big Christmas celebrations.
I have made my nsd target - hardly surprising as I've been skint for the entire year so far but good nonetheless :j It's payday tomorrow, and I have a BIG shop coming from Mr A, and a month's supply of cat food ordered, and I can put petrol in the car again. Then, I will be skint again. :eyeroll: - need one of those smileys.
My 2 months off council tax will go part way to making up the shortfall for dh's income (unfortunately) I would rather it went somewhere fun, or to the emergency fund. Meh...
I'm very tired and quite run down, but the work situation is completely beyond my control at the moment. I have accepted that, and just need to go with it.Not giving up

Today I am grateful for knowing a variety of routes home and therefore getting home in time for dd, for dd's bread being available, for having enough freezer space for most of the aforementioned bread, for dd getting to sleep easily, for my stripey socks that make me smile.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, it has been busy with all the house sale goings on but we have accepted an offer of the full asking price and are chuffed to bits. We have a second viewing booked for a house we like this weekend and will probably make an offer on it if it is a good as we remember it.
I have achieved one more NSD, possibly two, but will say 1 which puts me on 4 I think. That's shocking really
Yesterday I got some free food and a free car wash
I will be joining the challenge again next month as even though I haven't done so well on NSDs and food budget because it keeps me focussed and mindful of what I am spending. Plus we need to save, save, save until we move

No dress for me (fell asleep) and possibly no takeaway as DS3 is soundly asleep (having looked after me earlier). Not a problem, I have an apple , some mini rolls and I think DS3 has some leftovers downstairs. Still tired but much more relaxed.
This week I am grateful for time spent with mum, for my lovely counsellor and a good chat with the volunteer receptionist (although slightly worried that I have become the old lady who knows what all the buildings used to be). Also Cary Grant films, the lovely taxi driver last night (who even made me laugh by saying he didn't want his fingerprints on the tree saw when the police found the bodies I'd buried) and my mother's cousin's husband for driving me round this morning. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Mothernerd you really are a whirlwind. When you gather pace you just can't slow down. Chill out and do something for you.
Spent today, couldn't get a hair appt till Monday, did a meal deal from M & S. Had £4 vouchers from surveys, then popped into HB for bunny hay and bits. So no spending all weekend for me to reach magic 21.
Grateful for

Hi all.
Everything is ticking along smoothly (ish) here. Tonight me and DH have to go and put my Mum and Dad's new freezer into position, get the old one outside and move all the food across. This is the third appliance of theirs that has needed replacing in the last 6 months, in fairness the others were all very old. So we are getting a takeaway on the way home for us and the kids - a rare treat for us.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
