FunBrum - you have already hit your target though??

Dolly - well done paying off your bike so quickly

Apple - you must be super slinky with the work outs you do!

Calling - I hope your daughter has a wonderful trip, & that you can meet her somewhere exotic on route.

Stewby - sounds all a bit stressful. Good luck sorting it all out.

Cat - Glad you are feeling better about everything. Not long to payday now.

  • Hi everyone!

    stewby sending hugs

Calling I know it's easy to say, but time flies and your dd will be back before you know it!

NSD 15 for me today. Had a big cleaning mission this morning. Also called my car insurance company. Surprisingly, their renewal quote is cheaper than I have found elsewhere shopping around. But I gave them a sneaky phone call anyway and they have dropped it by a further £15. Still have a fortnight to keep shopping around though.

DD still having a fab time on her trip, but can't wait to have her home.

Business has been busy this week. Lots of enquiries. 1 confirmed booking (but waiting for deposit which has been passed to a friend) and 2 more unconfirmed. Hope this means it's going to be a busy year.
  • Spend day today, it's likely that the next two days will be spend days too. Won't make it on tomorrow as will have no internet. See you all Thursday!

Congratulations mothernerd, I'm so pleased for you

    funbrum you're doing fantastic!

stewby try and take a step back and look at the situation objectively, you often say you love your job, how come that has changed this week?

Yesterday was a SFD but I've realised today or tomorrow will have to be spendy as I need to take in cakes to work for my birthday.

    Have a good day all

    Hi all.

I am doing a grocery shop today and it will be a re-stock as this is the first shop from the new grocery budget for February.

Not much else going on today really.

    Have a good day all.

When I got home last night from my friends, I really fancied a glass of wine. So I thought, as I'd already had a spend day, I may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb......and popped to my local offy...and bought 2 bottles of wine! £8. Only because it was cheaper to buy the 2 and I can always use the second bottle for a gift or as an offering if I'm invited to dinner!
Thanks for your support. I was aiming to only have one spend this month but I suppose two isn't bad.:o
I certainly have no plans to spend for the rest of this week, mainly because I'm busy with other things.

Today, I'm baby sitting at my DD. That's why I've got WiFi connection! My DGD is a gem and is quite happy to watch a bit of Cbeebees while I'm on my kindle.:D
We will play in a while.

Bobyou may have already said, and I've missed it, but what happens at the end of the month? Do we carry on?:)

Today not a good start. I had a card pushed through my door at 7.45 this morning, didn't hear the door bell as cooking and have a noisy extractor fan. Turns out it was a removal notice from a debt collection agency who had come to collect goods - not for me but for a dodgy lodger I had about 2 yrs ago. He didn't stay a week as I asked him to leave either on drugs/drink. Extremely worried as notice said next call will remove goods without notice. EEK. The only phone number on there was the guy who showed up, who assured me can't remove goods without confirmation that the person lives in my house. Still not happy will do a company search online and write to them.

Then drove to work and had to drive home as thought I had left gas hob on - hadn't but better to be safe than sorry.:(

Got in work, computer crashed lost all the work done yesterday naf accounting system we have. Oh well will redo that tomorrow, got lots of other work to get done today.

Feeling bit down in dumps last night as everyone I know is talking about holidays. Would love just a few days away anywhere. :(

    On a brighter note:o

SFD 18/21 will I manage it? - going to be a tight one only gives me one spendy day left this month.

No payments today - feel like being a rebel today and breaking free.:rotfl::beer:

calling14.....I'm sending you an extra big hug!:grouphug:
I know how you feel about your lodger. Mine rented my rental property I used to have. Him and his mate were sub-letting, pretending they owned the place. Poor unsuspecting people were giving them £200 deposits and one Lithuanian couple gave them over £1000. It was a nightmare, mainly because I'd let the tenant run late with the rent most months because I felt sorry for the B@$!@&?. All those poor folk they had ripped off! I couldn't believe it! It took a lot of sorting but I thought 'we'll I haven't done anything wrong' and the council...who they had tried to rip off as well and Action Fraud, where great!
Some people have no morals and prey on decent folk.
You are a good person and I always believe when things are going badly, then there is always something good around the corner. Chin up.:A
