Sorry I couldn't check in yesterday, I was nowhere near WiFi.:(
NSD yesterday and I know I'm not spending today....No dosh in my purse!:rotfl:
I have 2 council tax free months as well, and today I submitted my gas and electric readings, and my dd for next month is down to £15 instead of £26 pm. Should be a frugal month on the old spending lark!:T
Wombled 30p from my son-in-law for 3 cereal bars he gave me. They were YS, reduced from 47p to 10p each. Yummy!:D
Yesterday, I was searching around the fridge for veg for a soup. I had eaten everything in the freezer. I found the last of the potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips and thought I could knock up a nice one. Then I spied in the freezer, the left over bones from the ribs I had last week. Sounds a bit gross but as I'm the only one eating the soup, I don't mind my own germs!:D
Anyway, it's made a fab soup! 3 portions. I have salad and half spitroast chicken, Wombled from my sister's restaurant, for lunch today and as usual will put the carcase in the freezer to make stock next week.:jLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Well today has definitely been a spendy day today - pet food, house food, petrol and 'debts' to kids clubs for Feb. I think it'll be painful come Monday when all of the cash is gone again, :rotfl: Still, I can afford to feed us, clothe us and keep a roof over our heads so that's ok.
Thanks in advance Bob for running the challenge this month. I've made it to 21 nsd's and am immensely proud of this. Not giving up

Pay day today so my Feb budgets have started and have a big Mr T order coming tonight so not a NSD.
Apart from NSD and food budget I am sure I managed all other parts of the challenge.

Hello fellow turtles, I'm still here! I've been out of the loop (yet again!). I can't explain it but it feels like this week has wiped me out! Every night I feel so tired I crawl in to bed after dinner and accomplish nothing. I have managed to make it up to 18 NSD's, with a possibility of the 19th NSD tomorrow which I consider not too bad. Made some nice wombles this month and ONE road kill yesterday 5p. I have managed to put away £350 to the Emergency Fund. £7 from the petrol budget. Food budget fully spent. Not a bad month all around.
Looking forward to February."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Thanks for a great challenge BOB. Forgot to mention, had the credit score from Experian last week. Not excellent, not a wreck either, and hopefully on the mend. Haven't had time to look at the other ones."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150

Thanks for the challenge Bob.
DS3 has paid off his student overdraft so he is also debt-free. Conversation went 'Are you debt free/ I'm debt free too.
Spent the morning in bed reading and sleeping. Had a bath, dressed as best I could (nearly all my clothes are waiting to be washed). With assistance from DS3 I went clothes shopping (only one shop) and have two dresses, two tops and two pairs of leggings which will do until I start making serious weight losses again. Cost £85 (my limit was £100)
Went straight back to bed after some time in the bathroom (hope my body is getting rid of all the rubbish). Slept for a while then had a really dizzy spell when I tried to get up (had to hold onto DS3 several times when shopping). The takeaway came (DS3 was too late to order for last night but put it through for today - have saved money because he forgot a couple of extras I was going to add). I have only eaten poppadoms and 4 pieces of chicken - right now my body is telling me it doesn't want to eat white bread, pastry or anything fried ever again.
Will soak the oil off the curry (putting a sheet of kitchen roll on top brings most of it out) and bulk it out with extra veg for two of my weekend meals. Using scraps from the fridge and have decided to 'make do' for the weekend. Fresh start from Monday and will try not to bring anything 'unhealthy' into the house.
Want to go and help mum tomorrow but if not up to it, if I can manage to totter to the library, take a couple of books back and dump some of the charity stuff in the charity bin, that will be enough. I haven't promised or planned to do anything before Monday. I will go to the doctor if the symptoms haven't gone by mid-week. Drinking lots of water.
Today I am grateful for help from DS3, for finding what I needed (and leaving a dress that would 'have done' - even at £18 if it's not right, it's not a bargain) and letting my body rest. I am fretting about things 'not getting done' but then I doze off again. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Me and DH managed to sort out mum and dad's freezer last night, the new one is huge and there is no way they needed one that big but they insisted, as a treat they paid for our takeaway last night (we just put 60p towards it) and the shop gave us 2 free cans of pepsi with the order.
Today we will take the old freezer to the tip for recycling along with an old fridge they have in the garage. We need to go to the bank to pay in the cash for it as at the moment it is on my cc.
Me and DH are going to go around every room in the house and make a list of all the jobs we need to do, we will do some this weekend and some bigger ones will need to be planned in. We are also going to do the same outside.
Hopefully we will not be spending any money outside of our budgets this weekend plus our original takeaway money is going into the bank to be allocated elsewhere rather than frittered away.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I will have to shop today as 'old mother hubbard' has just looked in the cupboards!
I have made a batch of tomato soup last night and has taken a portion to my sister....she gave me the tom's......as she has flu. I also popped into the florist to buy her a plant to cheer her up and as a Thai you for all the freebie food and stuff she gives me.:)
I will check in either tomorrow or lasted on with my scores for this month.:ALiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T
