I paid the extra £20 that went into the bank today to the debt.
The kids have both had a friend round for the afternoon and me and DH have got a ton of jobs done. We have done the following:
1. Dismantled 3 ceiling light fittings, cleaned them and washed shades and put back together.
2. Pulled all furniture out in lounge and vacuumed and cleaned down skirtings and all cables.
3. Cleaned all woodwork downstairs.
4. Spot cleaned lounge carpet.
5. Pulled out all furniture in our bedroom, vacuumed and cleaned skirtings.
6. Vacuumed walls and ceilings upstairs.
7. Decluttered an old laptop, pair of slippers, loads of bits of paper from the notice board (used for scrap if possible).Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Feeling much better (only occasional dizziness and much less severe). Lots of purposeful pottering washing, washing up and pegging out have been done.
Spent on bread and bananas and a taxi to mum's. Three of us waded through several boxes which had wrongly been sent to the bungalow - a car load was despatched back to the old house and I will sort it into charity sacks and rubbish in the week. The bungalow has only the baby size wheelie bin so only a carrier bag or two put in there.
I have arranged to take stuff across to church on Monday and the charity shop will collect the sacks I have filled on Tuesday. been through a whole list of things with mum to decide what she wants to come to the bungalow, donate to charity etc and have told her which things I have taken 'into protective custody'. The room and bed I cleared last Wednesday is full again. We tackled some of it but stopped when we ran out of places to put it.
I have been bought Chinese for tea and brought some home, had a lift home. Tomorrow is another rest day as Monday and Tuesday are busy.
Today I am grateful for working with women who were in accord (a man only needs one binbag of socks), for potentially difficult decisions being simple (the trilby collection [all six] is going to the charity shop, a bag full of baseball and flat caps was whittled down to 3) and for free food.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Busy Saturday woken up at 6am by next doors dog frantically barking. By 7 am had enough and contacted them, they had gone off for the day early. Popped around to check on doggy, no idea why it was going so nuts. That was my lie in gone.
Dyed my roots and then went to foot appointment. Worth it feel so happy much better, still bit painful but that's arthritis.
Home cleaned stairs, bedroom, hair dyed bathroom! cooked roast dinner did a woodland walk with dd1 and gs, after they went spent good 90 minutes clearing garage- got room in there now.
Lots of roasties veg and chicken left so no cooking tomorrow.

Good evening.
So... mood is still very variable however, we had a fantastic shift at work on Friday despite being short staffed (know exactly why that was). Came home on a complete high and have been feeling quite good. Much better than last week when I was ready to give up nursing completely.
:undecided
We have spent the day cleaning the back bedroom. Doesn't sound like much but basically as we cleaned the whole house, we put the excess stuff into the back bedroom... so it was basically piled high with "rubbish".
We now have a basket and bag full of stuff to sell (plus two black bags of cherished teddies). Not sure what the plan is regarding it. Our local community has a sales site but we could also try the local car boot sale.
Definitely going to attempt selling some stuff though.
There is a house for sale that I am very tempted by. There are various pros and cons although I seem to only be looking at all these pros and one con but it is a biggie.
Need to have more of a think and see if there is any more negatives. Struggling though.
Hoping everyone is getting on well. Not sure if I will be able to post tomorrow so if not, see you in February.

H everyone!
Sorry for the lack of posting. I've been exhausted and have had a few early nights.
I am now up to NSD 18. Today was a spend day as did weekly shop. Was going to take it from Feb budget, as that's when most of it will be used. But have decided to count it this month. It will mean I'm slightly over my budget, but I can work out Feb budget tomorrow with a blank canvas.
Had a fab day today. DS was invited to train at the local rugby stadium, them form guard of honour for the team who were playing. It was a fantastic opportunity for my little rugby nut!
Have also taken another business booking tonight with deposit paid already.0 -
Morning all,
Sorry for my absence. I've had several spend days - Friday I treated my mum and dad to a cupcake each and yesterday I did a big food shop, got my hair done, went out for cake and had to pay for parking - so quite an expensive day.
Today will be a SFD, I need to clean the house, walk the dogs and prepare for another busy work at school. I'm just trying to decide whether to start my diet again today or tomorrow! I've had a week off as it was a stressful busy week at work and my birthday so I thought I needed to pick my battles, there is no point stressing over too many things at once.
I've finally arranged for ex to remove his belongings from my house, which is a huge weight off my mind and will mean the garage will go from being full to being nearly emptyAnything he doesn't want can go to the tip so I will be doing that next weekend. I suppose I had better get up and get on!

Hi all.
Our plans for today are: DS is playing football this morning and won't be back until lunchtime. Someone is coming at lunch to collect the laptop we have freecycled, DD is riding this afternoon and me and DH might goYS hunting.
I think I will get outside and sweep the paths outside our house of leaves from our trees and trim a rather wild, thorny shrub which is trying to snag people as they pass. I also want to do the RSPB birdwatch today.
A big THANK YOU to Bob for running the challenge - you are a star.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
