Didn't get a chance to post yesterday but it was a NSD which takes me up to 11. I'm off work today
so have been food shopping and to the gym. Plan for the rest of the day is to make bread, clean the flat and we are planning to look through the DVD collection to see what we can get rid of as we have far too many.
I also have some work to get on with - I've got a training course during the week and need to do some preparation for it.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Mix it all together in a bowl, then tip it out onto a floured surface and knead for a few minutes. Form into a ball, then pop it back in the bowl, cover with cling film and leave it until it doubles in size. Roll it out to desired thickness and shape.
I got 2 decent sized pizzas from these quantities. I was doubting the recipes as the dough seemed really sticky, but they turned out really well. I put a little tomato puree, some herbs and mozzarella on top and cooked mine for 12 minutes each, but this will vary depending on the size and thickness.
Awesome thankswhat oil did you use? Sunflower or olive?

I used olive, just because that's what I have in, but the recipe doesn't specify a type to use0 -

Great thanks, I like to use olive oil when I can, but I know it simply doesn't work with some recipes (like cakes)Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hi All
Spent a very useful few hours batch cooking this afternoon. And so this week's menu looks like this.
Roast beef dinner with veg, potatoes and Yorkshire x 2. Will plate up 4 dinners today and then that's Monday sorted. Plus freeze some slices in gravy for another meal.
Home made baked beans, in this case butter beans in garlic, passatta and onion sauce with fennel seeds. Made a big tub and we'll have it with a nice big handful of chorizo stirred in,served on thick cut white bread and topped with melted cheddar.
Mince beef and vegetable pot pie with and big puff pastry lid. Pie I made serves 6 portions.
Giant Yorkshires with veg and gravy
Pasta with tomato sauce, veg, chorizo and melted cheese.
Sausage chilli with rice & salad
That's 6 meals planned for the week plus tonight's meal.
Also made lemon scones for sweet treats.
There is enough cheese, eggs, etc to do another simple nights food too or pizza, fish fingers, chips etc in the freezer.
Good to feel ahead.
It's getting cold again here now. Wrap up warm!

I've been cooking too, a gammon joint, plus sweet things (choc and peanut cookies and lemon drizzle cake
). Not slimming at all
but at least I know what is in them! Used up half a pack of OOD peanuts (the other half is now in the freezer for another batch, as the biscuits are seriously yummy) and a shrivelled lemon from the bottom of the fridge, and no temptation to buy sweets / biscuits / cakes/ anything for pudding this week
Very annoyed though, as I have had to spoil a potential NSD by buying a pint of milk. We had run out until the milkman comes tomorrow morning0 -
Well done to the people batch cooking, it's a pain when you do it but worth it during the week.
We have been sledging today, there were tears and trauma but we also had a lot of fun. Not much else done really, a bit of cleaning, called at Co-op for some bramley apples and got some YS items too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Sorry, didn't post yesterday. Claiming 2 NSD's for this weekend. Tomorrow will not be a NSD as I need to buy OH a birthday card for Tuesday plus the ingredients for his birthday meal. We may cheat and use some M&S vouchers we got for Christmas for the food which would still make it a NSD but I don't think I will find a suitable card there. As we don't do presents I like to find a nice card.
Snow here today but nothing really settled so we went out for a long walk. It was lovely as I was well wrapped up so didn't feel the cold and we even managed to see 3 swans flying. Normally if you see them they just fly past but these just flew around the lake they were on a couple of times and then landed. OH even managed a photo on his phone.
Hope everyone is safe and warm out there.

Not spent any money. Made a roast dinner (all from freezer). beloved has gone home. A little more snow but can get as far as the bins safely.
Today I am grateful for lovely food (med veg stored at bottom of fridge, yummy), for rest (I can't keep awake) and for co-operation.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Quick check in for me.
2 SFDs in the bag. Went out yesterday for coffee but daughter paid as she owed me money. Been suffering all weekend with migraine. So had a lazy morning, went walk with a friend down the beach this afternoon. Think just stressed out with being upset Friday and worrying about youngest daughter leaving me and probably won't see her for about 18 months.
X_raphael heart goes out to you, surely by now leasehold excuse is wearing thin. Agree with Dolly solicitors they are in another century.
