WARNING - Using Credit Card at Interflora Online

I don't know if this is a scam but it feels like one. Natalie at electricshopping dispatched my order to city link and then immediately recalled it. She phoned me to say I would have to pay £9.99 to have the order redirected. I asked City Link what was going on and they said that so far as they are concerned, even though I have paid for the goods, they still belong to Electricshopping. I have not concelled the order or given a redirection address. City Link made no attempt to deliver. Natalie cancelled my order on her own and deducted £9.99 from my refund. I played no part in what they did. The matter is now with Trading Standards.0

How did you cancel this before they took any money?
I have just clicked on the link following a purchase from Expedia, will this start to charge me automatically now?0 -
I was caught by this "scam" back in August after buying flowers through Interflora. The only way we can stop this low life practice is by getting off our backsides and doing something about it! I have contacted:
- the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) -> http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/complaints_form/
- BBC Watchdog -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/
- Trading Standards
Interflora have known about this scam for around a year -> http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=6625219&postcount=65 and have been very slow to act. I hear they get a kick back from Shopper Discounts for every person caught. However, since contacting the ASA, Interflora have changed their website so that you now have to enter your credit card details a second time to register with Shopper Discounts. This is an improvement, but the new page is still designed to mislead the public it says "Please provide us with a credit or debit card for your Shopper Discounts & Rewards benefits". Benefits! Thats a joke! Notice there is no mention of billing or charges, they want it to sound like they need your card to put money into your account rather than take it out!
As an FYI - Shopper Discounts has a parent company in the US called Webloyalty, which is currently the subject of a Class Action for exactly this kind of scam -> http://www.dmnews.com/Webloyalty-Named-In-Class-Action-Lawsuit/article/92717/
We have got to put a stop to this, please make your voices heard and register a complaint with BBC Watchdog, the more complaints they get, the more likely they are to run a story on the "scam". Complain to Interflora, EasyJet or whoever else passed your details onto Shopper Discounts. Also, tell your friends, family and work colleagues about it. If we avoid sites that operate in this way, they will feel the pinch and have to review their policy!0 -

Hi All,
I've just been a victim of this same scam after using Expedia.
I've called the number 0808 234 1539 and they insisted that it was my fault and that I'd applied for membership of their organisation, but did agree to cancel my membership and refund the 2 payments of £10 that they'd taken from my credit card.
Having seen the post below from Shopper_Discount - If they are so keen to ensure that we are happy, why are they not a little more open and honest about the way that they pinch our credit card details?
I'll certainly not be using Expedia again, since I consider them to be at least 50% responsible for this con trick.
Similarly to Salsa John - I'll also be contacting BBC Watchdog and the ASA.0 -
Sadly I have also been scammed after shopping at Interflora.
The shopper discount company have agreed to refund me all my money (which is embarrasingly a lot) but I have told them now three times that they cannot refund my credit card as I have cancelled it.
I have had one more try to see if they will send me a cheque, after which i am going to have to call the credit card company and get it temporarily activated again ... sigh
Just one point, when I found out about this and rang them, they said I had filled in a form ... nope! I tried to log onto their website and used a variety of passwords which none of them worked. I asked them to send the password and this was nothing I have ever or would ever have used! So I did not fill that in nor would I have given someone the authority to pass on my details.
Interflora says its my fault for not reading the small print ... right! They should let people know in no uncertain terms what they are getting themselves into!0 -
 I was done over by Vistaprint too. Looks like buying on the internet is becoming a minefield, they are all at it. The only advice I can give is; if you are getting something free, a discount or any other offer outside of the current purchase - you run the risk of being scammed. Don't take up any "free" or "discount" offers. I cannot believe that Amazon are putting in adverts for Vistaprint with their packaging, this is how I first got conned - replying to an advert in an Amazon package.

I have just realised I have fallen for this one too and have been paying out £8 a month since August last year. Serves me right for not checking credit card statement more closely! When the penny finally dropped and rang credit card company they certainly seemed to know the company and knew the tel no....in fact they put me right through to them. Except you just get a rec orded message. On checking this website realised I had fallen for a scam. Rang credit card company again who said they would put a block on credit card and referred problem to unauthorised payments section.
I cannot understand how this happened. It might have been a company called Allposters that had a tick box for a £10 off voucher. Apparently there are lots of companies doing this. Be very careful. I will always check credit cards very throuhgly in future.
